Either should work alright. Personally I like the way you described the non-scooter version better.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Phi, I;d like to run a core idea past you. Injury Core. Great for inflicting cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, and other wounds somehow....not totally sure how yet, but ultimately is not quite able to kill on its own.

Well duh. It's not like it's a death core.

Injury Core should be fine. Except for certain Cores that are either related to characters I plan to use or have certain overpowered themes, most Cores should be workable as long as we work out an agreement on how the power levels should be. Originally for this RP, I planned to use a story that followed my backstory from NB. This should probably be scrapped though since it does not translate well into a good RP format, but I do not have any replacement story to offer currently.

I'd help, but I'm afraid I don't know enough about your setting to suggest a plot.
Which new beginning thread do I read for a primer?

I'm not sure if I've ever gone over every detail of my back story yet. I joined in during this NB.
I gave some general descriptions of my character there and where I was from. These Two contain some useful information. The best place for information on my back story is the timeline I have within my character sheet Here. Though it is probably a terrible reference for everyone except myself.

What's that corruption you talk about in the timeline?
What sort of government was installed after the old one was overthrown? Who's at the head of it? IIs it just that one town, or the whole world? Why do Cores exist? Who Built the Ark? The Dragon, The Tree, and the Crystal-Woman? Where were they from, and are they still aware? Are they religious figures? How widespread is information about them?

I figured the timeline would be useless at explaining things
The corruption was one of the first big bads that I had to face, an Entity/Force. It possessed this Core User called "Soul" who eventually became one of my lieutenants once he was freed and then later possessed a Core User called "Leech" who became its main host until it was defeated. That first part was just within a singular nation on the world, so the main capital of that nation. My group ran the place for awhile with our powers and eventually set up a new guy as the leader once we had to leave. Side-Effect of the World-Tree Elemental being turned into planet Aeon. The Elemental's remnant powers seep up from the center of the planet causing the formation of the Cores. That part is going to be in the next timeline that I'm going to post later on in NB. Those elementals were just the original beings that existed in the dimension. Knowledge of them did not exist until point 24 in that timeline. Those three died when they were turned into the celestial bodies and their spirits were laid to rest when I later absorbed their powers.

From what I've read you have this huge world with tons of potential environments, creatures, and people to interact with. The plot should probably take advantage of that. All you have to do is think up an excuse for out characters to move, and then motivate them to keep moving from one place to the next.

Yeah, I definitely agree. I sort of had the same thing happen in my back story when my group had to chase down Leech.

Right, you could do it with a chase. You could have us collecting stuff. You could have us being chased. Anything works so long as we have a reason to stay together.

This seems pretty low on the attention scale out of the RPs we have / have planned currently, but if people are truly interesting in this I'll cook something up for us to have fun with.

We should probably finish up KCoM before we decide on another RP to begin, if you guys still want to do this when that one finishes I'll start relooking at characters and all that.
@Vault: You still planning on doing your other RPs or just the Apocalypse one for now?

Just the one for now. The others can be saved for later.

Maybe they have some in-built instinct giving them an affinity toward a certain thing. Books, magic, science, energy, etc, etc...

I figured that. But I mean more "If someone were trying to sift dormant core users from a pool of regular people, what would they be looking for?"
