The Core User would have to work their way up in power until they could manipulate their power more precisely so that they could control the theme. Early preparation would be something like the Fire Core Correnian shaping his flames like a dragon so that when his skill improved the flames could take on draconic traits. Just guiding the growth of the idea so that the theme can later be built.

Travel is pretty simple, it has the theme of Moving from point A to point B.

The first manifestation should probably be something like a guide.

Well like the Hermes' boots for example, that would be a thematic boost because you're adding equipment/wings/mythos into your travel theme.

Most of the stuff I have in mind is going to count as thematic.

What's to keep me from going full on overkill with thematic things?

It just depends on how well you can tie it together, and just focusing on one theme (And using it multiple ways) would probably be better at the beginning until you get a base idea for your character.

Except for the initial prolog part of the Rp when we all get our powers, I'll try to be lenient with how you design your powers. Overdrives I'll control though and will say when they are ready.

The more I learn the more I think my idea of an Injury Core ins't entirely feasible.

I can't think of many ways to expand on straight injuries.

It's going to follow a movement: Guide and Boots first. Then horse. Boat, plane, and car can come in any order. Teleportation.

Guide eventually evolves into something that can move quickly and not on;y shows you where things are, but also dispenses information about the area.

I've decided: First is some sort of guide light. Show someone how to get from place to place.

Good boots to actually get from place to place.

Some sort of Vehicle. Like a scooter of Buggy.

Horse.

Boat.

Plane.

Train.

Teleportation. All this get's better with time.

Maybe a smattering of other things, like maps, portals, opening doors, the like.

I'm going to play her as someone who would really rather avoid a problem altogether. Even though her powers are good for travel, they;re also good for running away.

Alright, so I was planning on creating a big picture of everything that I could imagine in the area we are going to RP in, but I think this would work better if I start listing out parts and we can work on fitting them together to work on a good story.

The area that I'm thinking of is one large super city comprised of small city districts that branch out of the land that the city controls. One large rail way connects this super city with the closest Correnian settlement in the south-west. These two settlements, along with some others, used to form one nation until our super city became independent during a war in the past. Relations between the two have settled down and the railway between them is used only a few times a year for trading. There is another independent (Or believed to be) settlement in the north, but contact with them has been sparse.

Cores have appeared in this cities population in waves, with batches appearing and dieing off before a variable amount of time passed and another batch would show up. The last batch appeared at the same time as the last war, giving our settlement the edge to both take initiative in the war and to win. Now that the super city is in an era of peace, the officials have been planning to curb the next batch of Core Users to maintain control.

Hunting is a primary profession in this land. With all the elemental plane touched landscape and animals, professional hunters are required to venture out and obtain the rare resources in the vast distances between settlements. Mining is a secondary profession, not because the work is popular, but because it is necessary. To the east of the settlement, the land drops off a great distance to another plain below. From the wall forming this drop off though, a great many minerals have been mined, including Correnite, one of the main reasons the settlement was founded to begin with. Between the drop off and the settlement are the trampling grounds which a great many animals migrate though, herded there by the presence of the settlement and mining operations which create a choke point for the animals to pass through. Scientific advance is another main focus of this settlement and with the availability of Correnite, they have become technologically advanced.

Symbiote Hives are a problem for the city and attacks are usually expected a couple times throughout the year, requiring a team to go and clear out the hive before it grows too problematic.

So that symbiote thing from your backstory wasn't a one off thing, but an animal species?

And when you say "die off", you mean a generational die off as the old population of users succumbs to old age? Core manifestations are generational?

Also, what's an elemental plane and how does it relate to the core phenomenon?

On Aeon, most Core Users don't reach the aspect stage so they will eventually just die from old age. My group was an exception though, since they made it to the aspect stage, and once we did and our powers grew, we helped a majority of the Core Users to reach aspect stage.

In the beginning of Aeon's dimension, there were ten elemental planes that were all mixed together to form the reality of the dimension. During this time you have the Prime Elementals who were born from all the abundant energy. The important Prime Elementals being the first three born, the World-Tree, Dragon, and Crystal Woman. They got into a war and the elemental planes were broke apart and the first three Prime Elementals were left as celestial bodies, Aeon/Sun/Moon, in the new space.

Cores are created from the radiation from the World-Tree elemental which formed Aeon, Correnite from the Moon/Crystal Woman, and Symbiotes from the Dragon/Sun. The elemental planes still exist but they are separated from each other. Their existence causes the terrain and animals of Aeon to be more exotic. The symbiotes are these non sentient black creatures that attack to other forms of life and then go on a rampage. They gradually multiply and grow stronger unless they are wiped out.

The formation of Cores is due to the World-Tree elemental but it is not uniform over the planet as it depends on where it's branches are deep underground. For this town, the radiation from the elemental comes in waves due to their location on the planet, making the appearance of Cores generational there, but Cores by them selves are not a generational thing.
