A moon base is unneeded...

say's who, eventually the zombies will be able to create their own civilizations, at which point they will greatly outnumber the humans and control a majority of the moons surface, a space stations full of survivors doesn't sound like a half bad Idea.

for the sake of keeping things interesting what say you of giving the zombies a major power boost in their abilities after conversion.

@ Jester: A moon base is unnecessary. They haven't even started building civilizations yet. And personally I don't see how they could if people are outnumbered by the dead. They'd starve, giving any who managed to avoid being caught the chance to restart civilization.
@ Second comment: Why the HELL would you BOOST their abilities when they're on the opposing team? They already outnumber us anyway, and a bite, scratch or other transfer of their body fluids is gonna turn you into one of them.

I agree i think moving into space is unnecessary it wouldn't help the RP.
Also I think if we are going to have some of the people be leaders of the zombies they should at least start at survivors and they can be the first ones from the group to be bitten. Also since we are doing a monthly invasion time (Which i suggest to be the start of every month after we start RP so that it will be easy to remember) We should have daily events/objectives so that the RP keeps activity. Like myself will post that we need to scavenge supplies for the day or save a group of recently found survivors then we can each get one post for that day to do what we think we need to do. First month can be recent zombie invasion, Large human population and The RP people are scattered. Small groups of zombies harassing citizens. Second month could be where there are only pockets of humans in their own makeshift defenses trying to survive. Third month could start were large pockets of zombies attack us and survivors are scarce. Fourth month is when we could start running out of natural supplies and have to start scavenging more. Hmm now that i think of it that plan might make things go to fast depending on how long we want RP to go. Also Wulf I think your multiplication thing might be overpowered. Maybe set a cap on how much you can multiply food so that we still have to scavenge and cant stay in base whole time. Or say you cant multiply something once its been multiplied once so that it still runs out eventually.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

And that's a reason to HEIGHTEN their powers? That's kinda dumb, to be honest. Giving a nearly-brain-dead half-dead thing the power to wield powerful superhuman abilities is like...giving a shark a pair of legs and arms so it's not just a threat in WATER...

They do get smarter over time..
I think.

you can say what you want but it makes sense with some powers. Most powers require some sort of energy from the user, for zombies they would have an unlimited supply.

Unless we use more powers in the process, I see a few problems with the moon base, along with some non-powered solutions (* means already in place):
1) There is little chlorine on the moon, which is necessary for aluminium processing. -When we produce aluminium, we would have to import chlorine and recycle both the chlorine and aluminum. 2) There is virtually no minerals needed for plant growth, so again, we need to do some importation. 3) The moon has a "day" of about 364 hours. Plants can easily adjust to this (they have been shown to be able to do so) but solar panels couldn't provide enough power. -We could put it on a mountain of sufficient height to be in eternal daylight. -Use fusion power; we have not developed it yet, but it would provide enormous amounts of power, although it needs deuterium and helium-3. We can get Deuterium from the ocean of earth and H3 from the surface of the moon. -Use fuel cells (like on the shuttle) in combination with solar power to provide a "perpetual" source of energy -solar panels during the day power the base and electrolyze the waste water for the fuel cells, while the fuel cell operate at night. -Nuclear power; fully developed, a lot of energy, can be supplied by earth-bound colonies and be supported by other energy sources. -Leave the panels in orbit, to beam energy down to the base. 4) The moon's gravity my not be enough to maintain proper health (i.e. bone decalcification, muscle loss, etc usually found in astronauts). -Sleep in rotating beds (artificial gravity). -Exercise for hours every day. Unfortunately, this cannot be expected of the common citizen. 5) The lack of an atmosphere presents temperature extremes; it would be dangerously hot in the day and cold enough at night to mess up equipment. -Build it entirely underground*. 6) The lack of a magnetic field allows solar radiation to hit the surface, presenting a major risk of cancer in anyone in the base. This means we'd need to put extreme effort into protecting the base or healingthe occupants. -Build it underground*. 7) Moon dust can damage equipment and may be toxic. -May be able to be used in ceramics, such as for radiation and micrometeoroid shielding. I got my information from Wikipedia.

It would be easier to just make a large spinning space station.
