This is a forum for 1 on 1 fights between two people, with no outside help. Conditions are agreed upon before beginning the match.

Hmm... If all the fights occur in this thread, it means it's limited to one fight at a time, or else it's going to be confusing. If it turns out to be a popular idea, I think it's better to create a sub-forum dedicated to the fights, with each battle happening in separate threads.

Some will like team battles, outside help or to do other things (i.e. ponder the mysteries of the universe), so they may still use the Substitute Battle Arena or New Beginning in that case.

I think we will have a voting system, so the battles will not go on forever. Yes, only one at a time.

Except, here, you're proposing fights between two members "with no outside help". So, if I got it right, while a fight is going on, only the two members involved can participate.

Just a thought but the conditions can also be how many superpowers each fighter is allowed, in which case they have to post which ones they want to have. I would suggest each constestant PMing a third party what superpower they chose. It's just to avoid a first contestant posting his choices and the second one adapting his to have the upper hand.

Or maybe the outsiders could post or control in-fight events? Let's say the setting is the street. Two people are fighting and someone posts about a grandma driving by. One constestant could use one of their superpowers to cause her a heart attack in hope that she would crash into their opponent. But another outsider posts that she doesn't and instead crashes into a fire hydrant soaking the first fighter. The second fighter could then use his electricity-based superpower to electrocute them. Etc.

But, it could be Hell to follow the order of the events with several people posting at the same time and some posting faster than others.

NO...Vespert is right. This would be a good battle game to have because it would be limited to ONE power per player, and of course, certain rules would have to remain in play, such as no power manipulation, very LIMITED mimicry, etc.
