"Not much of a talker, huh? Don't worry, I can talk enough for BOTH OF US!"
Polk's arm became very thin again and shot straight upwards, latching onto one of the florescent lights high above. Then his arm changed back, pulling him up as it did. Up on the light, Polk began to grip the like holding it in place, the strength of it cutting deep groves into the supports. He changed his other hand, and used it to orient himself upside down, feet planted firmly on the roof. Thus positioned, Polk pulled with all of his might, wrenching and twisting until the support gave way, and began to fall right toward that girl. Polk leads off mid free-fall, shoots his arm to the closets light, and swings over to watch the results.

SGA watched as Polk worked with the support and when it started falling, she moved out of the way and to the door that Polk had come from. The roof would start falling soon as that was the main support. SGA slashed the door to bits and ran out.
(Sorry if you wanted to keep going on this. I'm slightly overloaded on the number of fights right now)

(Which is why I somewhat reduced the number of combatants.)

(No problem)
"Oh lord," Polk said, mockingly, "look what I've done. I am just a klutz." He lowers himself to the ground and rushes out the opposite door as the roof collapses. He stands in the hallway, brushing the dust off. He pushes back his hair. "Well, that was strange. I should have gotten her name. Oh well, I'll have to kill her some other time. Now, there must be a way outta this joint." Polk walked off in the deserted hallway, and disappeared round the corner.

Ok, then. That was an interesting first trial with an end result of a tie. What do you think of SGA-2163Z TR7?

Combat wise? It felt like all she could do was charge Polk.
Then again, that might have been my fault for staying at range, because I was terrified of those blades of hers. I decided that, if one of those touched Polk, it'd have cleaved through him like butter. Those things were wicked sharp in my head. What about you? Any thoughts on Polk?

Yeah, it probably would have been better to have SGA be in team combat with 564 by her side... But, yeah. The blades were sharp no matter how you look at it, though the sharpness was partially due to Scar Empowerment making the more powerful.
Polk seemed quite... I can't think of the word right now.... Ah! Thrifty! Wait, no. Wrong word... But, either way he was good at using the environment to his needs in combat.

Pragmatic? Inventive?

All those words you guy said. Polk isn't the strongest guy he knows, but he uses everything at his disposal.

Expedient? Clever? Crafty? Resourceful?

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but we should probably keep the battles between characters of the same Rp so that power levels match better.
Is there any other characters that need someone to battle against, I probably have one that I could use.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

What GV's trying to say is that keeping the battles to only those from the same RP is no fun, because we could have those battles in that RP anyways. Ex: Pessimal vs. Kagehana, Billy Bishop vs. Zauber, etc. What we want to see is battles between characters of different RP's so that we can have fun with seeing the characters fight fights they normally couldn't have. Ex: Zauber vs. Kagehana, Asoka vs. Lo-Kag, etc. Understand?

I see what you mean, It just crossed my mind how different the power levels are for most RPs.

Power level doesn't matter as much as intelligence and terrain does. Read Sun Tzu's Art of War. It helps to make one see how an ordinary human could possibly beat a superhuman (not one with reality warping). After all, SGA-2163Z TR7 was probably much more powerful than Polk but the fight ended up equal, because of the terrain. Polk could use it much better than SGA could and the battle ended up as a tie. I think you'd find that base energy/mana levels aren't as much of an advantage as you think they are. Versatility is the true king of combat.

Power levels are important in this, all of our, or at least my characters can fight well in whatever situation they are in. I was talking about how our characters from KCoM for example wouldn't really compare in power to the other RPs since the KCoM characters are only students, or how the LoC characters seem to be generally stronger than ones in some other RPs. Unless we alter the characters a little to balance them then it wouldn't make sense.

You're not taking terrain into account. According to Sun Tzu, there are 5 things that need to be taken into acount for battles: Moral Law, Heaven, Earth, Times and Seasons, and Commander. This is based on all those in combat being ordinary humans, but it works really well in superhuman combat as well.
Let's say that a pyrokinetic of tenth level and an electrokinetic of third level were to fight and each level is separated by a factor of ten and an ordinary human is level 0. So, an ordinary human is 1, the electrokinetic is 1000, and the pyrokinetic is 10^6. The electrokinetic and the pyrokinetic fight by a lake in a prairie. Who will win?

Either side could outsmart the other and utilize terrain, so with all other things being equal, a large difference in power level decides the winner. This is just a forum where you post and counter-post in the battles. The smartest thing to do would be to just equalize the power levels like we do whenever we do matches in NB.
