Either side could outsmart the other, but that's why power levels aren't as effective. Equalizing power levels doesn't need to be done. We didn't do that for the fight between SGA and Polk and it doesn't need to be done for any other battle. SGA had a power that increased her power levels while Polk could only take on forms based on handcuffs. In the end what determined the battle was not power levels but versatility and terrain. Power levels do not need to be equalized. In the right environment, a student at the KCoM or MCA Celadon Academy can with effort and creativity beat Lo-Kag or Kagehana. We don't need to equalize power levels. That just makes more work because then we have to remember to restrain ourselves. Whereas, if we don't forcefully restrain the power levels, then we can actually have the full battles we want to see. Plus, restraining things by forcefully equalizing power levels feels like saying that all things are created equal which they are not. Ex: The Penultimate vs. Pessimal would not be equal and you're saying that for the battle they would be (probably wouldn't happen but still, you never know). As it is, they things are right now, it's all fine.

This sort of follows something called the Flow Theory which I recently learned about. There would be no point in doing a match between Lo-Kag and Zauber because Lo-Kag would easily win. The challenge would be too low for Lo-Kag's skill level, at best it would merely be relaxing for Lo-Kag and at worst he would have apathy for the fight. If Zauber could match or even exceed Lo-Kag's power at points then the Challenge and Skill level would be optimal allowing them to enter a state of flow.



Do you think Asoka would even be able to have a decent match against Lo-Kag at her current power level? There is nothing wrong with Asoka, they are just in different categories. Student training her magic versus Divine hero.

Do you know what Asoka's true power level is? I've never stated to what level she can use her Soulsword, just that she can use it. But, I do think that she could possibly beat Lo-Kag in a fight.

That chart is quite interesting. I'll have to copy it down. I might check to see how it applies to my life as well.

At her level right now, I doubt Asoka could beat Lo-Kag or even trouble him, the same for Zauber. They are both barely dealing with two students from the KCoM, to say that they could beat someone much stronger doesn't make sense.

You're forgetting that both Asoka and Zauber aren't allowed use one thing each right now in the College RP for balance. Zauber: Overdrives (Racial Ability) Asoka: Soulsword (Civilization). Just adding in one thing could make all the difference and Soulswords/Overdrives will make a large difference from what I can tell. Lo-Kag is able to use all of his abilities, so if Asoka were to fight him, I would have her use her Soulsword and magic in combination. No pulling punches. If you want we could start a fight between the two, but we need a third party, because I want to keep Asoka's full abilities a secret until I use them.

So you're saying that Zauber and Asoka would have to have their power levels equalized to Lo-kags by giving them access to things the characters wouldn't have in the Rps?

It is not the same as what you said. The way I see it is that you're saying to make the characters equal regardless of actual power levels, not adding or subtracting anything beyond making them equal in power levels. Ex: Penultimate and Pessimal equalized just as they are currently. What I'm saying is that we give the characters the full range of things that they can use for the battle if so desired by the narrator. If it happens to equalize things, then so be it. A single thing can equal things out dependant upon how powerful it is and how well the character can use it. It just happens that I made Asoka's Soulsword such that it could allow her to equal Lo-Kag in combat. The fact that it is within her full-range of capabilities and the fact that it could cause her to be equal to Lo-Kag are coincidental. And they don't have to use them, it just happens to be that I would use any of my characters' full range of abilities regardless of who they'd go up against.I don't care whether it's the Penultimate or Lo-Kag, I would still have the character use their full range of abilities whether it equals things out or not. I would have Kagehana use her full range of abilities against Zauber regardless of whether he was a head or an apprentice as well. I choose full range of abilities, not total equalization regardless of actual abilities.

I guess that would work in most situations on here. It might be nice to do some battles between characters that would normally not be in the right range of power for each other though, just to see how their abilities worked against each other.

Zauber at his full potential could defeat Lo-Kag and most of my other characters easily simply because of how I made Cores work, but currently he wouldn't stand a chance.

If you want to do a match with Lo-kag on here it would have to be after the tournament. One of the other characters maybe, or even a mortal version of someone from my pantheon would be interesting.

You can probably guess most of his abilities already, I only have two major surprises for later, you just wouldn't know how he would use them in the match though.

I'll most likely reveal more info about my heroes after the tournament since it won't matter as much then.

Ok. Hmmm, let's see. So then out of the characters that you'd use for this arena right now, it would be Gilgamesh, Bahamut, Yojimbo, Anima, Deva, Lore, Tirion, Rhogar, Thorn, Naram, Gilgamesh II, The Guardians, The Sprites, Zauber, and Commander Lote. Anyone I'mmissing?

Emere and Atlas are still in the tournament. If Kagehana beats Tyran, she will face Emere or Revei, so I didn't include him in the list for that reason and Atlas technically will still be in the tournament, even if he will probably lose to Lo-Kag. I'm thinking of using a certain character here in this thread, just to introduce them, but I need to work out a few details first on them.
