Well, I have been itching to use Polk.

There isn't really a word for what Polk is. The closest would probably be mercenary or career criminal. Robbery, murder, fraud, kidnapping, Polk had done it all for a bit of scratch. He'd never been that mastermind though. Polk was more of a fieldwork sort of guy, the one you sent out to club someone in the back of the head or riddle a storefront with bullets to draw the police away. Sometimes his job was to just stand silently behind his boss and smile at people. But that sort of job was boring.

You see, Polk enjoys his work. A lot. More than is healthy. The thought of a good fight, any kind of fight at all, gets him all a tingle. As a result, he's sort of between jobs at the moment. After all, no one wants to work with a psycho.

Appearance: Polk is tall and thin, with slicked back hair and an almost permanent 5:00 shadow. He enjoys wearing suits. He thinks they make him look dashing, but he's wrong. Most of them are ill-fitted.

Morph: Handcuffs

Normal Mode: Polk has no formal training in hand to hand combat, but years of picking fights in the street have left him a very competent fighter. He is deceptively quick for how tall he is. He is also well versed in various firearms, although he is by not particularly good with any of them. If he had to pick a favorite type of battle, it would have to be the knife fight.

Hybrid Mode: Polk's hybrid form allows him to "Uncuff" his 4 fingers and thumb, tuning his hands into something resembling metal talons. These cuff fingers can be closed around something and locked, effectively tethering an opponent to Polk. However, the fingers are stiff metal and can only open and close. This means that Polk can not use a weapon in a hand that is a cuff.

Every body part between his two hands can be transformed into a chain, allowing Polk to dodge attacks by splitting apart. He can also use the chain to fire off his cuff hands and reel someone in. However, his control over the chain is limited to transforming into and out of it. He can not animate the chain parts of his body as if they were a snakes or something. This leads to a decrease in mobility and fine control whenever he decides to use the chain. He can also only split apart horizontally, not vertically.

Full Mode: A small pair of dirty handcuffs. Polk can move around slowly in this form, like an inchworm. The form also lowers his total mass, allowing him to survive falls and impacts that would kill a person.

Definitely not Jeanette. She'd beat him easily, too powerful for him... Dragon and Rei require a team battle, so that leaves SGA-2163ZTR7.

History: I gave her history in the thread on how a character was created, so check that for her history.
Appearance: Woman with large numbers of scars all over her body, arms, and neck. The only spot without scars is her face. SGA-2163ZTR7 has short, light blue hair in a crew cut and wears a military uniform at all times.
Powers:
1. Blades of Pain (any wound SGA recieves instantly turns into a scar and she can create a shadowy blade from any scar on her body, the size of the blade depends on the size of the scar in question. A wound that decapitates or would be fatal to a normal person will not turn into a scar instantly, but will affect SGA-2163ZTR7 like it would a normal person)
2. Immortal Life Span (no real effect on combat, just means she can't die of old age or sickness)
3. Scar Empowerment (Every scar that SGA has increases her strength, speed, and endurance. Also, boosts each other power by 1% for each scar that SGA has)

Well, then allow me.

Polk barreled through the double doors at a sprint, kicking it closed and barring it, before letting out a mad laugh.

"Sorry fellas," he calls through it, "Looks like you just weren't fast enough. Adios!" He turns to look at his surroundings.

He see what appears to be a large test chamber, domed roof and florescent lights hanging above, making that annoying buzzing sound. A square is painted on the ground, and a door stands at the other end.

"Reminds me of high school." he says to no one, and starts to make his way to the door.

SGA-2163Z TR7 steps out in front of him from behind some shelving holding chemicals. She looks over him once before saying, "And who might you be? Someone trying to steal? Begone."

SGA leaps for Polk's throat and forms a couple of shadowy blades from scars on her hands.

Polk ducks the attack and rolls backwards, away from the girl, before standing up again. He looks he up and down. "Nope, just trying to leave. Of course, if a young lady asks you to dance," he says, holding up his arms, "Well, what sort of gentleman would I be if I refused?"

He darts forward, and levied a kick at he left temple.

SGA puts up one arm to block Polk's kick, simultaneously moving to punch him in the stomach, both arms forming shadowy blades to shred Polk's body to ribbons.

Polk Shifts his weight suddenly backwards. The kick goes high, clearing the girls head, and he use the momentum to turn and tumble away ahead of her blade. Not quickly enough, as evidence by the nick on his back. He quickly stands at the edge of the shelf, grabs it, and pulls. Shelf and equipment tumble down onto the girl.

The shelf hits SGA taking her to the ground with it and the chemicals in their vials crash and break upon hitting the floor splattering their contents all over the place. SGA slashes the shelf to bits by forming then unforming the blades from scars all over her body. This has the unfortunate effect of ripping her clothes to pieces, but it does its job getting SGA out from under the shelf. SGA forms two blades from scars on her hands and runs forward to attack Polk, heedless of the glass and chemicals under her feet.

Getting into a close range brawl with this one was out of the question. He didn't know if she would be able to cut him if he changed, but seeing what she did to those metal shelves did not inspire confidence.

He was going to have to play this smart.

Polk let out a battle cry and charged in turn, making it look like a footrace variant of chicken. He got to within her striking range...

and suddenly wasn't there anymore, the only trace of were he'd gone a strange clatter in the debris as the girl charged overhead. Polk shifted back to human form almost immediately after, and aim a kick square at the small of her back.

SGA turns around wondering where her opponent had gone and gets hit by the kick and hits the ground, wounds opening from cuts thanks to the glass on the ground. The wounds close up almost immediately afterward as SGA gets right back up. She warily watches what her opponent does as she forms blades all over her body, but leaves them looking like spikes, causing her clothes to rip apart even more, before charging at him again.

"Shouldn't use the same trick to often, she might figure it out," he thinks.

Polk reaches down and grabs up a handful of broken glass. As she nears, he tosses it toward her eyes and rolls away. As he stands and whips his fist around, it begins to lose definition. His knuckles become metal rings, and his arm shrink and elongates into a chain. This comes sailing round right toward his opponents temple.

As soon as SGA noticed that Polk had picked up glass she unformed the blades on her arms and raised her arms up to protect her face. Too many opponents had tried that trick on her. As the glass cuts her arms and new scars appear on her, she kicks back and avoids the kick to the temple then lowers her arms and sees that her opponent's arm has changed. *Shapeshifters,* she thinks, *such annoying things.*

SGA grabs ahold of one of the poles from the shelving she'd cut apart earlier and throws it at Polk.

Polk sidesteps the pole, as the links on his arm start to come back together and lose their metal color for his normal skin tone. His arm returns to normal.

"Soooo, ya noticed huh Bluebell? Didn't you mother ever teach you that it's rude to stare at the hideously disfigured?  Hahahahahahaha! Course, you'd know all about disfigurement, wouldn't ya?"

He clenches his fist, feels a bolt of pain, and looks at his palm. The glass had done a number on it. He sneers at it, and his palm become steel again, halting the bleeding. He unhooks his fingers, turning the rings that makeup his fingers into long, hook like talons.

" I've got an unstable morphic field. Don't know the official name for it, but I'm a handcuff man now." he says, holding up his new hand for her to see.

SGA moves toward Polk with the blades still in spike mode, she would rip him apart as fast as possible, the conversation was pointless.
