As long as he doesn't outright attack for no reason, it's no problem.

We each have some pretty good defenses if he attacks the gods. And if he attacks mortals...well, that's what we have heroes for.

Provided he lets the monsters be slain (or lets the attack be defeated), rather than justifying why sufficient force was not applied by our weakling characters in order to win.
