Well, of course. I did wizards, warlocks, witches, sorcerers, and a few other types of mages. Even the Sibyls have a page which I will begin working on soon.

Um, no.
Sages exist. Wiccans exist. Elementalists are fictional but not legendary. Shamans exist (witch doctors, not the fictional type like in Shaman King) Beastmasters only exist in the most modern fiction (ie Tarzan, the SHOW Beastmaster, etc.)

So do the lotus eaters "hippies."
and yes there are the real representations of them as well as the mythical representation, such as the sages that were actually able to manipulate nature and the elements. while technically the elementalists were a subclass of wizards. Beast masters aren't like tarzan. Their creature tamers that use magic to control beasts and take on their characteristics. the higher levels could actually sumon them magically to their aid at any time.

Yeah, maybe in your opinion, but Lotus Eaters are actually represented in myth. And hippies have no powers.
And sages have no mythical representation. Name one. Same goes for beast masters. Name one that is part of mythology, and NOT a recent (within the last 150 years) fictional work.

They weren't called sages, they were called gurus. And they are actual people.

Then put them on the Wizard page; they wouldn't be separated pages.

.............................shadow stop right now. It does not matter if they were, or are actual people or not. Achilles, Uripedes, maybe even Zues, or Thor. Were all actual people at one time, however in time fact became legend and legend became myth. Besides it's my Rp, do I go to the Evolutionists stone and continually poke holes in characters, physics, and story line.

They would need to be under the spellcasters section though. Wizards were themselves were a genral term for powerful spellcasters that spent their time engineering the forces of magic, usuall capable of either all forms of magic, or at least a certain area. While the sages, witches, warlocks were all the last of a long long long long LONG line of specialized spellcasters that taught their abilities to their apprentices.

No one is poking holes. It's the truth. I'm sticking with mythology. You can add in current fiction or whatever you like; that doesn't change the fact that I want to make things mythologically accurate. You do your thing, I'll do mine.
And besides, you don't know for a fact that the gods and such actually existed before; they could have just been made up by the people. Things worshiped and/or believed in, in the past, are considered myth, that's not my fault.

I think he just meant that some myths had real life equivalents that grew out of proportion and thus created the myth.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
