Photons are just packets if energy. The particles would absorb them and gain energy, getting hotter. Their heat would cause them to emit infared to radiate it away, as convection worked its magic with air currents.

Among other awesome constructs.
Ah, yes. That was solved very quickly. Very nicely done. Gotta love science. (...Even the boring, confusing textbook-speak )

Oh hey, right, convection! So...even the absorption would be nearly harmless, and would basically take care of itself? W00T! Pseudoscience and hypothetical physics, FTW!

Generating fields of energy transformation is a simpler explanation than manipulating a lack of something.
Otherwise, you may be manipulating the wavelength; if I shortened the wavelength of all the visible light in an area, I could easily turn it into UV light, which would seem like perfect darkness to a normal human.

I have received the same. It was even my nickname on my yr 12 jacket, of which I may upload photos to Facebook at some point.

I've read about that too, though I thought it had already ended.

Whaddya think of the (hypothetical pseudo-quasi-) physics that me and Zale came up with? The scotons and all that?

Eh...I guess I see it.
But look on the bright side. That guy is handsome. All I ever get is Ray J and Chris Rock and Chris Tucker... *sigh* Though, it could be worse, I guess. A cousin of mine looks almost exactly like a female version of DAVE CHAPELLE...

Oh, hey look! I found something you guys might find interesting. Or, at least, entertaining.
(Warning: Disclaimer- be sure to read the very top; it provides the most important part of the article...)

This might also be interesting.
And this.

Really light is the absent of darkness
the darkest place in the world is the human heart think about it

No, darkness is explicitly the absence of light.

Um...I think both are true.
(But, yeah, no, sorry Black, that first article about darkon shooters is actually an April Fool's prank, apparently from like 1995, 96, or 98--sorry I didn't look back to check) I just thought that would be entertaining, for its absurdity.

No, it's an absence. There's nothing wrong with that though, the fact that it's an absence should be embraced. Lots of cool, unsettling things are absences; silence, the cold, the void of space, death.
Nothing is a powerful thing in the human imagination. We fear these absences almost by instinct.

Because presence is often so much more satisfying.
Now. Is there anything more to be said on this topic?
