 Yay! Then I've worked out my Umbrakinesis! Production of, or psychic access to, black particles (scotons), which can absorb and (when sufficiently filled) repulse visible light, while still exuding infrared light!

Oh, hey. But that leaves just one more question.

If scotons become visible on the infrared spectrum by absorbing photons of visible light, wouldn't the mass production of said particles (say, throughout an entire room, or a city block) render you invisible on the infrared spectrum as well?

Well, technically, if photons can be formed into constructs (ie Photokinesis), then scotons could be formed into more coherent constructs, since scotons are not only bigger, but also more more solid. Though, photons would have more burning/cutting capacity.

They wouldn't repulse photons, merely absorb them then emit infared once it grew hot enough.

They don't make something invisible, merely dark.

So, yes they void absorb infared. They'd emit a lower level of electromagnetic radiation.

It is not affected by electromagnetic radiation and would therefore be invisible.

Ah, yes, you're right. I keep forgetting this crap! White is the combination of light on all wavelengths without absorption, and black is the absence or complete absorption of all light.

So rather than Umbrakinesis, it could be used for invisibility (just producing dark matter), or telekinesis (manipulating dark matter).

Though, my hypothetical scotons are still viable, by that logic.
