Infra-Red Radiation is a form of light.

Visible light is merely a fraction of the spectrum of Electromagnetic Radiation.

I am indeed interested in how these would work.

There are many, many reasons why even simple superpowers are very very improbable.

The conservation of Momentum and Energy plays a role..

That would prevent the blackbody particle from acting as a vector for potentially sickening or harmful radiation, right?

Infared is basically just a way of transferring heat.

So basically, by exhibiting an infrared glow from the photons they absorb, the particles I made up (scotons) would just exude warmth, without danger of harmful radiation?
