UMMMM...sure. That seems reasonable. Put that under "Other", though, please...

Wait, no, put that under each Pokémon's name.

In the original concept you said that the pokemon completely lost their power and that it was transferred to their humans, that kind of goes back on the actual basis of the RP, I agree that that might have made the characters to powerful as well, but that could easily be solved by saying that it was only affected by the pokemon who developed a close bond as in the starter pokemon. In fact it would even be better to implement a sort of digimon basis into it regarding fusions between trainer and pokemon, of course if we're going this far we would have to create some sort of villain perhaps in similar origins to detoxis. That plans to use Pokemon that gained new intelligence and humanoid forms during the shift to create an army. But this is all speculation that needs to be Ironed out during the final design plans.

ok I'll be alot stronger that way.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

A human / pokemon hybrid sounds cool, like they fused together. I feel bad for my pokemon being useless and following me around.

What about things like being immune to sleep effects or being extremely heavy?

@Zale: Immunity to sleep effects are counted as the Attributes that Phi mentioned. Look at my sample profile, I've altered it to include those changes
@Jester and Phi: NO. They are NOT fused, this is not turning into Planet of the Furries. NO, NO, NO, I repeat for the Nth time, NO. Now, I won't be able to respond for like another 30 minutes because I'm at college right now and it's time to go home.

...Okay, Pokemon loose powers, Alien pokemon begins to form organization similar to team rocket composed entirely of evil legendaries. Proffessor Oaks develops a new pokedex/suit which allows you to connect a pokemon to it which alters your clothing giving you the characteristics and powers of that pokemon for as long as you have the pokeball logged in. No furries, similiar to the pictures zale pulled up earlier. It is possible to summon another pokemon 2while the power is active for backup, however the pokemon can not use any of it's abilities.

this set up should leave everyone happy, it gets rid of the need for having to defend your pokemom, and gives you complete use of one of your pokemon's powers at a time, while still not making them overpowered because they can only copy one at a time.

@Phi and Jester: NO. I have made quite clear the plot. You have no need to suggest such drastic changes to the story. That will get far too confusing.
Alien Pokémon lose THEIR powers, too, unless they're on another planet, in which case, they don't exist in the game, anyway. NO LEGENDARIES AT ALL, good or bad, until MUCH later in the story. And if/when they appear, they are of whatever alignment they are of in the series. Your clothes do not change, unless YOU change them (via Cosplay, like the various "maniac" characters in the game), and they don't grant you abilities; your Pokémon do. In addition, the only way you can have Pokémon for backup is if you have caught them (and they are out of their Pokéball, free to be touched). You can't just run up to a wild one and tag it to gain a new power, and you can't gain power from one you've caught unless you touch it (or have a close enough bond to it that you have no need to touch it, in which case, you only think about it) Please Jester, do not suggest that I alter elements of my idea, because I already am having a hard enough time organizing it, and I'm not going to change it anyways, so...please limit the discussion to asking questions, and not making suggestions, unless they CONTINUE the idea I've already started developing.

Sorry Wulf
So what happens if the pokemon get attacked while it is out giving its power to its owner

It's no prob, Phi, I just thought I should make that clear. Seeing as how it's my own idea, and not really a collaboration as far as the plot goes, I can understand where the confusion comes in; I just want to keep confusion to a minimum. If I read an idea that I think is particularly innovative that can be used to better the plot and flow of the story, I'll gladly accept it.
Anyways, um, if your Pokémon gets attacked and/or knocked out while giving you its powers, then the transfer messes up somehow. It could delay the power transfer, or even cause you to get the wrong power (as the Pokémon loses conscious control over their powers being bestowed on you, which they can control to some extent--a good reason to develop a loving bond/friendship with them )

EX: A tempestuous Pokémon might dislike the person you're going against, and bestow their most offensive power so you can fight them, while a wise and mature Pokémon might give you the power they think is best; though if the Pokémon is very obedient to you, it'll put feelings aside and let you take your pick...

I'm drawing up a summary of what scattered rules I can see and making them all pretty and presentable.
Expect them sometime in the next fifteen to twenty minutes. M'kay?
