Once upon a time on new-earth the MPU's were defeated by CyberBioNanoTechnoPsionicSuperSpiritMythicMartialMagicalChan and wisely decided to enjoy icecream before the upcoming end of days.  
Fortunately for them she was kind of a huge kicker of butts.  
The heroin decided to go out on a mission of peace and mercantilism.
She reasoned that the space-time-continuum could be preserved while acquiring vast sums of cash.

But why would the Gnomes of Thistlethorpe help her?
Their monopoly on the best merchandise involving penguin based artifacts and amulets proved more troublesome Than Previously Anticipated
The gnomes undercut hairstyle is infamous for inspiring loyalty in it's troops.
A new haircut brought great joy to the MPU's. Sensibilities as well.
As the apocalypse approached, they planned
