I really wish we could finish one RP we've started. We haven't finished very many, aside from a couple Apocalypses, maybe two others and the various NB arcs...

I mean, not that I hate the idea of starting one of the above (there aren't many I'd completely turn down), but things keep fizzling out, because we keep getting pulled away from things before we finish them. Either folks aren't interested, or get busy with life, or get distracted with this, that and the other.

I really wish everybody was in better communication. That was, after all, the reason I proposed us connecting on Facebook. So we could coordinate free times, reminding each other to participate on the Forum, and not let otherwise really promising ideas (like Lords of Creation, or Apocalypse: The Vanishing) die on the vine, due to absence or procrastination or what-have-you.

*sigh* That being said, I'd like to hear the interests of the majority, and I think I'll make my decision based on that. Otherwise, I'll just try to add to New Beginning soon.

I just have a short attention span. I like to do new things, but I can only speak for myself. I'll always be around for RPs, but there need to be other people around as well.

Yeah, same here, to a degree. I don't like to drag on with things forever, but in the meantime, I try to put my whole effort into it, to see how close I can come to feeling complete about it, so I can be satisfied to a degree when I eventually move on.

I hoped my current NB plans would cater to people with similar perspectives, but apparently I underestimated my own interest and attention span in the arc.

Well, no need to feel awkward, cause you're never the only one who drops off. I'm guilty of it, too. We all are. I'm just really happy to see you guys when you finally reappear. And it's often just my hope that we can try to pick up where we left off, or close out that chapter proper, and move on to something together. I'm perfectly fine with either, if only folks would just be present for the decision to be made.

 *ahem* I, too, am guilty of attempting a snazzy new writing style.

Except I rock it, lol.

Artsy, poetic or eccentric writing isn't a particularly special look on me. Anybody can, given the right level of vocabulary, and wit. You have both, even if you're too shy or humble or self-deprecating to admit it. You just have to own it. I mean, really, for all we knew, it could've been just a style reserved for that specific character. It worked for me, when I read it. It was clear, I understood what you were trying to say, and I enjoyed it.

All my blathering aside, the point is this: everybody tries to find a style that works for them, and that draws in and engages the audience they seek. If you want to aim for a particular pattern or style, that's your right, and you don't owe anything to anybody, other than owing yourself the best effort you can put forth.

Dress it down or don't, I think you're good, either way.

I'm not much of a Facebook person. I don't like leaving it on and the real time chats I can not really keep track of. However, I'm on my computer enough that it is not hard for me to check the forum often if we get up to something. I already gave Wulf my number and I don't mind giving other people my number as well if we want to keep in touch easier.

Would anyone be interested if I ran an RP similar to GV's Domain Game Quest, but with visuals. An RP with a character (or characters) controlled by the group through commands and illustrated by yours truly. I think it would be a lot of fun and I'm itching to draw things.

Based on Wulf's comment in the "Webcomic Awesomeness" thread, I'm fairly confident he'd be on board as well. I'd like to hear Zale or Mik's opinion on it as well, but if not I'll start planning anyway. I've already got an Idea of where to start and the excitement of it kept me up late last night.

I've tried to establish as many lines of communication as possible. Facebook (including the live inbox chat AND the personal group dedicated to the Forum--which is not the same as the page dedicated to the main site), DeviantArt, whatever makes you guys comfortable. Not to mention, in addition to the Forum itself, each account here should include an email at which we can be conveniently contacted.

We just have to keep in contact, otherwise, stories with great potential will go to waste.
