Well, yes, I want some cooperation going on, instead of everyone doing their own thing, but the actual point is that the Battlemoon is off-limits. It has plot armor, that none can infiltrate it or get near it, let alone destroy it, until the rest of the plan is played out. I'm not gonna let you defeat that, cause when you do, you destroy the secret weapon I have aboard, and I can't let that happen before plot calls for that secret weapon to come forth.

I'd much prefer you turn your attention back to the monsters that Darkess and Tundra called forth, else you'll be wasting your time on a futile effort.

I like your enthusiasm, but it is WAY too early to go for the final boss.

I think you'll enjoy the next phase of NB, and the tournament has yet to even start, so if you wanna get in on that, now is the time.

@Wulf: If that is what you're planning, you should go ahead and throw in a post where either Darkness or Tundra get in my path since it would not make much since for me to about-face in the current situation.

I was heading up towards the Darkness to begin with anyways  Philote's goal was to get up to the Battlemoon to end things, but he flew straight into Darkness's dimension to get there, I could have just faced them then.

No, but see, the plan was not for you to be challenged directly by the villains. It was for you to face the monsters. The villains themselves are not to be touched. That was my entire point, hence keeping them on the plot-armored Battlemoon. Nobody is coming out to turn you back, because you would have less incentive to actually turn back, and more incentive to confront that person, which would be WAY before I planned.

You can fight whoever you like in the final confrontation, but then and ONLY then.

You're missing my point, if you want Philote to do something, throw it at him. The logical thing to do is going for the Battlemoon from mine / Philote's perspective. If the Battlemoon is off limits so far, don't just say it has plot armor, throw one of those monsters at me. Then I'll try to blow that thing up which will in turn try to blow me up and I'll be reacting to the correct situation.

I don't think you're getting what I'm saying.

I don't know of anything that I can throw at you that would distract you from the greater objective at hand. No power level. No monster. No stratagem I've been able to devise so far, over the years, over the various arcs of NB, has been able to make you turn tail, by force or persuasion.

I need you not to go after the Battlemoon, but if they try to send you a thing to distract/attack/dissuade you, you're just gonna end up fighting that thing. Is it gonna be enough to actually do damage? Maybe, maybe not. But you've never played the role of just taking damage and getting the hint. It's gonna be a long back-and-forth of you going against whatever they send out, because you're trying to defeat it, and I'm just trying to ward you off, so I can't let you get past it, so I have to keep ramping up its attack and defense.

It's not gonna end up with you giving up, but if I give up, you either resume pursuit of the Battlemoon or I give up again and let you reach the Battlemoon, in which case, my plan is stunted, and I have to jump into action WAY before planned.

Maybe the problem is that I'm not sure what sort of checklist you're trying to get through. If the goal is not for me to interact with the Battlemoon, Darkness, or Tundra and you do not want me to have a back and forth with a monster, where is it you are trying to send me?

The way I see it, with NB, ramping up is just how the fights go. Power levels do not matter as much since the scale for NB is so huge, which is why I usually immediately go for space scaled battles and throw planets around since I assume the same will be thrown back at me and it will even out. It is usually variety that "Wins" since it is whoever could pull out the most from their bag of tricks to survive the others onslaught.

If you do not want me going after the ones listed about, I'd like it better if you didn't just say "Plot Armor" because then I do not have a new target to act on. If there is something I should be fighting first, have it get in the way, if there is a different problem I should be looking at, have it be something time sensitive that I need to look at before I can refocus on higher issues.

I'm probably not going to turn tail, but I can be involved with other problems before the time for the Battlemoon returns.

It's not that I don't want you to face a challenge/monster/thing, it's that I don't want you to face that monster, then beat it, then get straight to the big bad villains themselves.

Team-up between the Technari, Darkess Faye, Tundra Cryos and Sister Siren is supposed to have multiple phases. Started off with the Technari, then the Darkess/Tundra team-up, then the Sister Siren finale.

Within the course of that progression, though, you're supposed to be solving things and figuring out things. I can't do that, though, because you're holding on to one villain at a time with a lockjaw grip. This arc is not about the battles, and if you stick to the battles, you'll literally feel like you've gotten nothing accomplished. And you'll be right.

I mean, N64 didn't let Donkey Kong go fight King K. Rool at the first go.

But I can't really challenge you, if your world is untouched (and therefore preserved from any stakes), and we end up just playing superpower tennis til kingdom come.

I'm more than happy to battle, and I hate to feel like I'm pointing out something 'wrong' you're doing (you're not--you're being totally true to the spirit of NB); I guess I should just have made it more obvious that there was some deeper mystery to be solved within this current arc. That's a problem on my behalf, not yours.

Let's see if I can't remedy that.

There was a Mythical creature type RP we were planning, right? Because I find myself suddenly obsessed with Selkies and really wanting to design a Selkie character.

I might just design one anyways, but an RP would be a fun reason to use them.

Could you define what a Selkie is for me? Not everyone has Wulf's level of knowledge of mythos

Sure. They're a mythical creature that appears as a normal Seal in the water, but can come onto land and assume a human form by shedding their skin. If their skin is lost or stolen they can't return to the sea and become a Seal again. They're like the Scottish version of a Mermaid or Siren. Most myths about them read kinda like romantic tragedies.

Just the shapeshifting, from what I've read, and perhaps the males have some seductive power over women? That last bit, though, I'm guessing is more just a skill than an actual superpower...

The only mythical critter RP we had in the works was Warriors of Myth RP. I forget why that died off and never became a right and proper thing, but it did.

yeah that was mine, killed it a while ago. Might bring it back up again later. Still trying to finalize the world for Generic that Zale dropped. thinking of some massive angel/demon war, centered upon the happenings of a happlessband of travellers unfortunately wrapping themselves up in it.

If I start up warriors of myth or any rp up again It'll be as a pure GM, and I won't have a PC

It kind of fell apart entirely during the browny city ark and I'm not good at handling a role play where I'm a playing character in it as well. Was the same reason that Suburban super heroes died. Which isfine, I'm better at playing the manipulative mastermind anyway and not playing a character gives me more time to do that.

I"m ready to start up anyh of the old Rp's whenever....And oh yeah, technically there was another. the Spirit world RP. The one with the world existing in mirrors that was made up of a compilation of all dreams and memmories inhabited by spirits and the human offspring of spirits and monsters. The entire Selkie thing of forced marriage could work with the descendent thing with your character marv.
