The Mini-Adventure!

I find  some light armor, a new Jester's cap, some more smoke bombs, a few potions, A book of demonic spells and facts, a  white and black rat, a mid level demon effigy, and two retractable forearm mechanism blades and some radnom worthless trinkles and baubles, that were most likely either nicknacks of the cultists, or stolen from sacrifices.

I put on the Light armor, cap, and the blades after checking them for traps.and pocket the rest....even the rat, it does't look like it has the plague

then I follow the group.

[Zaleramancer]

(Assuming we just skip to the door.)

After retracing their path, the heroes come up to the final door leading to the ritual room. It's an enormous, rune covered affair that is bound and barred.

Marv and Jester feel magic in the door.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Obviously we can't just open the door. It's charmed or enchanted...or possibly cursed....We'll need to see what kind of magic is in this door befire we can try and open it."

[Philote]

"How are we going to go about doing that?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

'With a little skill..."

I lean forward to inspect the door and it's magic. I cross check it with a spellbook in my bag.

[Zaleramancer]

The spellbook from the ward using cultist reveals that several layers of abjurations and wards keep this door shut and defended..

However, it also lists the countersigns and trigger-words that will disarm them.

Using the knowledge from the book I carefully attempt to remove the wards on the door.

[Zaleramancer]

Slowly, the wards fall. With a final sputtering sound and a spray of sparks, the final defense falls.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"done, now let's take out those damned cultists." I sneak slowly through the open door into the room beyond.

[Mik_Hael]

I stay a small distance behind the back of the group and fallow them in, casting an illusion to hide myself.

[Philote]

I meld into the shadows, ready to provide support for the three with blades.

[Zaleramancer]

The door opens to reveal a large room. Large looping rune-chains and pentacles cover the floor, and arcane symbols decorate the walls. Groups of cultist are scattered around it, chanting or making the final preparations for the ritual. In the center of the room, you see a stone altar raised from the floor. A figure in robes stands there, and you see an unconscious woman laying on the altar.

"Alright, I'll create a distration and you guys take out the cultists when they attack me. Is that a good enough plan?"

[Mik_Hael]

"Yes, but one thing, I think it would be better If I create the destraction instead," I hold up a smokebomb and a demon effigy in each hand?

[Marvelous Miscreant]

The spellsword does not hear this suggestion as he's has already jumped up and run out to distract the cultists.

[Mik_Hael]

"He's going to be the death of us."  I sigh before throwing all five of the demon Effigy's onto the ground, and tossing several flash bombs into the crowd of culists, remaining in camaflouge.

[Philote]

I start shooting arrows to pick off the cultists that didn't immediately run to face the spellsword. Aiming for the ones that seem to be muttering spells.

WHen the demons appear I give them the order to attack the cultists before teleporting through the Chaos stabbing the nearest cultist in the nexk during the confusion before teleporting away again. Repeat.

I Attack the Cultists head on. My firends help to spread confusion and allow me to get in close a  deliver the final blows.

The demons advance to deal with cultists.

One that looks like human and hawk hybrid, takes to the air and starts dive-bombing unfortunate cultists. Two of the others, goat horned and red skinned, begin hocking fireballs and covering themselves in flames. Another tall shadowy looking one begins to reach out and touch cultists, reducing them to skeletons. The final, a powerfully build man with a tiger head, rips through the ranks.
