Yes.

Though it is... complicated.

Really interesting, but complicated.

Just the Greeks. I believe in hinduism and budhism, where reincarnation is most prominent, that you remember your past lives or at least have a general idea of what they were.

Meh, it's up to you, then.

Or, rather, Zale's call.

It's not THAT complicated, my sister let me read one of her mythology/religion books and I read about it.

Avatar quickly came to mind.

What makes you think that would be true?

Something you've read?

Well if I can remember correctly from history class hindus believe that if you do good in you're caste or life you reincarnate into a better caste and life, if you did bad you could reincarnate as an animal. So that would provide indication, and isn't budhism based on escaping the reincarnation cycle. I think that the buddha was said to have lived as many different creatures before enlightenment.

That doesn't mean you remember those lives.

It's only an assumption, really. It's not like the animals can tell you if they remember a previous life or anything.

True, but you could however go into meditation to do so. Plus, considering that they would be fighting Jester mostly we could say that " their experiences have changed their spirits to the point that they unconsciously act on these experiences" Do you approve? Either way it doesn't have to be exactly the same as in real life mythology.

Describe to me carefully what you want with the reincarnation.

As for remembering, I have no problem with your race (Being knowledgeable and adept at magic) using self hypnosis, magic and intense meditation to unlock their memories.

Also, If you could add some more detail to the culture of your people, that would be great.

I love setting fluff.

What I want is that after some time, souls in the underworld or those that roam free will come back into physical being. They have minor influence over what they come back as, strengthened if they followed certain meditation practices in life, but it is mostly random. People who were kind or at least positive to themselves usually cone back wealthy or lucky because of the built up positive energy, while those who hated themselves and others or were hated by many people come back as a lesser animal or unlucky person. This is not to say that Heros always come back as rich and happy people, and that villains are condemned, it is just a semi loose guideline. My god would not only be able to choose how people reincarnate(Where, when, etc) but also choose the likelihood of getting a good or bad reincarnation and even being able to drag spirits and souls out of the depths of the underworld. They would regulate it in a way. As for the culture I'll be sure to add more. I have plenty of ideas for my race.

It may seem sort of random to say this, but I do have a purpose in mind for this roleplay. Not only to just enjoy ourselves, but also in order to build a nice world-setting with a complex mythology and -above all- a rich history in the minds of the mortals.

I want it to be like in myths, where they have stories of the struggles of heroes and the exploits of the gods.

For example, now, think of how the Atheri will remember this current struggle. How they will tell tales of the fight of the dragon and the gods.

Also, Yes.

But Jester may fight you for the afterlife-ish aspects of it.

Also, I need a list of your gods.
