Cheesecake or Action?

Have your share  of cheesecake.

Also,  the Omni is about to create several new gods, and they will make their own races..

Prepare for company.

 Yay! Visitors!

Wanna have us pitch some ideas? I think Hargonon (the war god) would be good to add, since we has no way to incorporate him into my pantheon. And the others could contribute some.

Right now, I have and idea for a complicated Ocean Goddess, Some vauge ideas about a Sun God and one about a shy Moon Goddess..

The Ocean Goddess isn't just one being.

There are several goddesses over various aspects of the ocean.

When they really need to, they meld together to form the Ocean Goddess.

So she's more of a Gestalt  Mind than anything else.

I would love some help thinking of aspects of the ocean to cover.

So far I have...

The Deep Mother (Goddess of the Deep Abyss of the ocean)

She is a mysterious and rarely seen being. Her presence is mainly know through a voice calling from the dark deeps, or from the monstrous beings that dwell there. All manner of sea monsters are her children. And may the heavens help you if you harm them.

The Empress (Goddess of fish)

The fish call her Empress, hence the name. Unlike the Deep Mother, she is a bright and well known being. The Empress looks like a somewhat fishy woman, dressed in kelp and fish scales and adorned with coral. Among the Seafolk (The people of the Ocean Goddess. The aspects share them), she is a very popular goddess.

The Singer (Goddess of aquatic mammals)

The Singer loves whales. All sea mammals in general, but whales especially. The songs they sing entrance her and she is often found in their form. As far as the goddesses go, she is the most stable and neutral. Beware though of her temper, you may find that her Seafolk followers will lure you into the deeps with songs from their goddess.

The Seafolk are the people of the ocean. I'll write up their stats later, but for now they can survive well enough underwater, though they often differ depending on what goddess their tribe/clan serves.

THAT sounds interesting. Then, they would ALL have control over the waves, the tide, etc.?

Anywho, yours gave me some ideas for my own. I was thinking about somebody for the mountains, and the islands. Two distinct deities.

And maybe somebody for fire. And the untamed wilds (like wild animals, battle ferocity and uninhabitable places). And some other things, which I have yet to know how to define properly.

Well, I need more for the ocean.

It would be nice if I could get some ideas on that..

And anything relating to animals or features of nature would have to be at least allied with Naturanal.

Or however that's spelled.

Well, you have one for the sea depths, sea mammals, and fish.

So, that leaves the Waves and Tide (which could maybe be The Dancer), and maybe for the connection of the waves to the shore (not sure what name).

Even maybe one of the reflective surface of the waves (the Philosopher; by extension, he'd also be god of mirrors and other reflective surfaces)

Or, maybe of swimming, sailing and maritime activities (fishing, whaling, sea warfare, etc.)?

I like The Dancer..

As for sea meets land, that could be called The Shore Keeper.

Are maritime type activities really all that common now? In the world, that is.

Part of me is considering a god(ess) of currents. Or a set of tropical and arctic gods..

Well, the sea gods are almost always the most common type of deity.

So go nuts.

I think there could also be deities of fountains, geysers, waterfalls, lakes, etc. Kinda like the deified Naiads, Nereids and Oceanids.

I should start with a manageable number of sea gods though.

No more than six or seven.

And personally, I think that Naturanial may need some, um...relief from his/her/its duties.

His/her/its domain is too broad. There'd be no room for season deities, wilderness deities, etc.

I had two ideas for minor gods for my pantheon. What do y'all think?

Coredus - God of Mining
Weavra - Goddess of Weaving

The Mining fella is fine.

As for Waevra...maybe...ah, who knows, I'm having a bit of namer's block myself right now. I'll get back to you on it...
