Billy slips silently into the room, hugging the wall and keeping far away from the dying fire.
(How any exits are there from this room? Are there any obvious paths?)

Zauber turns his vision back to the battle after improvising a defensive spell. A miniature shield wall rests as a visor over his eyes so that he is not blinded by the flurry of spells.
Unfortunately, the only thing that fills his vision is Gorn's hammer quickly traveling towards his body. Zauber forms one of his shielding motes, with no time to infuse it with others, and slams it into the ground before him. Walls of light rise up from the ground, only having time to form three protective layers before the hammer connects. Zauber could only hope that the defense would hold.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

"Is that so?" Asoka replies thinking about her options quickly as a small but possible idea formed in her mind. "So then why did you join the acolytes? Don't tell me that the reason was power, because sorry, but that's too cliché."

"I am a warrior. I follow the path of victory. Never have lost and never do I intend to."
the smoke pouring from Gorn's armor continues to build, condensing in his hands. "I place my blade with those that will triumph. The Red Eyes is more powerful than you know and will destroy you all. I follow him and ONLY HIM!" Gorn's word's are emphasized as electricity pulses through the dark fog that pours from his armor. Moments later the smoke ripples liking a living thing and flows rapidly to his hand. Streams of the foul black gas streak from his armor forming a massive shape. Even the thick veil that clouded the inside of his helm was pulled into the growing mass of swirling fumes. Momentarily, his helm is cleared and Asoka can just make out a small shard of pure red encased in dark glass and bound by twisting, evil runes in the back of the helm. The sight is quickly obscured again as smoke again fills the helm. The pulsing mass of acrid smoke that fills Gorns hands stretches itself to form the rough shape of a massive sword. A dull light pulses beneath the boiling mass. Gorn raises the shape above his head slowly and bring it crashing to the ground. As it swings, the smoke is torn from its sides and a gleaming metal blade etched with dark symbols is revealed. The metal of the blade seemed to reflect not the surrounding but some foul world elsewhere. Gorn deep echoing voice spoke, "The Demon's Razor"

The hammer crashes into the wall of light with a thunderous crash that cracked the stone floor of the courtyard. The spell holds, but only just as the Hammer continues to push against the wall.

Searching the dark room, Billy can just make out the soft outline of four other doors. Two to his right, one across the room and another to his left. As his eyes adjust to the gloom he can see a gap amongst the unconscious bodies, a path, leading to the pitch black side of the room.

"Thor damn you to the depths of Niflheim!" Wulf roared, dangling upside down in front of the freakish monster, "You AND your mucky, nasty swamp breath!"
His chest heaving with anger, he reared his hands back, charging power, and thrust out two arcs of powerful electrical force into the creature's midsection.

The creature screeches, a sound like metal nails of a chalkboard. The creatures twists in surprise, throwing Wulf through the air as it let go.

Zauber staggers back as his spell halts the hammer from just barely bludgeoning its way through his defenses and begins redoubling his defenses now that he had a moment to prepare his spells. He rotates slowly, edging around the hammer so that it was pointing towards the battle but still pushing its way towards himself. Zaubers shield walls build up around the hammer until a grip is formed around its handle. Now, he just had to wait for the right opportunity to throw it back towards the acolytes.

"I was wondering when you might show up..." A voice cooed from the darkness. It ripples a coiled in Billy's ear like smoke beckoning him to trust it unquestioning. The voice was comforting and sweet.
"In fact, you've quite disappointed me in taking so long to get here. I've had to content myself with snatching the visions from these delicious little diviners."

Billy stops suddenly before glancing around.
"I apologize." he says levelly. "If I'd known I was expected, I would have been more prompt. Still, you seem to have me at a bit of a disadvantage. It is polite to introduce yourself upon meeting someone for the first time."

Wulf surprises himself as he skids backward across the floor in a three-point stance. Perhaps this whole fighting thing wasn't so difficult after all. It even seemed as though his limbs tingled with tiny pricks of electricity to guide his movements. Whether it was his own eagerness working through his subconscious to heighten his awareness of his movements, or the gods above working divine power through their good little warrior, it made no difference.
As the young mage launched bolt after bolt of streaking hateful lightning, dodged, took hits, recovered like a trooper, went back for more...It all felt plain amazing. And without a doubt, the feeling would only grow with time. That assurance in mind, Wulf picked himself up, not caring to dust himself off, and lunged yet again for the horrid monster, his fist cocked back and seething with bright sizzling electrical power.

"He he he he he," Flux giggled as he cartwheeled backwards, "The little windy mage is all full and puffing with hot air."
With a spring and a flip Flux landed just outside the cyclone's influence. He continued to giggle as he bounced back and forth, his face quickly transforming into that of a pig's. "Snort Snort, Oh please don't blow my house down. He he he he he he!"

The Creature rears back, the thick quills on its back rising up menacingly. With rapid, powerful flexes of its back muscles, the quills forcefully ejected themselves towards Wulf, impaling themselves in whatever they struck. As each quill was launched a new one quickly grew back with a sickening slurping noise.

Two bright ovals of white snapped into existence in the dark. The being's eyes. They hung in the dark, pupil-less and stark against the gloom. They stared unblinkingly at Billy, sizing him up.
"How rude of me, I am Daramos. And you little necromancer are Billy Bishop. Now that we've both know each other I suggest we cut right to the chase." Daramos leaned forward, the dull light of the dying fire illuminating his hollow face. "We both know why you dashed up here so valiantly, so heroically. And as you've probably guessed, our fair little oracle isn't safe. I've got her."

"I understand." Billy says in a chilly tone. "Not everything, such as how you know my name, but enough. You haven't yet killed her or the diviners, so that must mean you wish to bargain." He pauses, and thinks for a long moment. "Unfortunately, I do not believe I can allow you to keep your 'life'. Is there anything else you want in exchange for their safe release, Mr. Daramos?"
