[Marvelous Miscreant]

"So what do we do now?" Piper asked, the fear in her voice suppressed.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"I think we should all head back to our rooms and prepare for tomorrow. In pairs, everybody buddy up."

[Philote]

"Billy, as much as I'd like to team up with you since we seem to work together well, I believe we should join up with those that best compliment our abilities" Zauber says

"Eric and I should work together. He needs my protective abilities to save him from the backlash of his own power. Tiberius would be a good counterpart to you though, since you both seem to be developing skills related to minions."

(Since I don't want to get stalled up again, I plan to take over Bug's character if he is not present to do so )

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"I'll work with Piper if that is fine," Asoka offers. "It should help me a bit to fight with enchantments aiding me since I prefer to do magic combined with physical fighting."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Piper cheered up almost instantly.  "We get to hang out? This is gonna be so much fun!"

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Don't be so happy yet," Asoka replies. "I'm going to have you train hard, not just magically, but also physically. A healthy mind must reside in a healthy body afterall. This will be fun for me but might not be for you."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"You're funny Asoka!" Piper trilled as she bounded out the door.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"You look as though you have your work cut out for you, Miss Yamata-San." Billy says, and he actually chuckles a little. "By the way" he says, walking over to his table and picking up a book, "I've been meaning to return this to you."

He hands over the book on air fighting that it seems like a borrowed forever ago.

"Thank you," Asoka replies. "And now I need to go help my partner learn."

Asoka rushes out of the room to follow Piper.

[Philote]

"Alright Eric" Zauber says "Meet up with me when training begins tomorrow and we will sort out the best way to advance our powers."

"I believe we have everything sorted for tonight, so I'm going to head out everyone. Hopefully we can cross paths during training tomorrow."

As the students parted ways, the school grew silent in anticipation of the next day and the significance it would bring. In his office on the top floor, the headmaster sat wide awake as he contemplated the most recent turn of events.

He knew he could not interfere should the Red Eye's acolytes attack, the seal demanded it. His only hope were the students. They were young, and many were untrained in serious combat, but he had faith they would prevail. In fact he had more than just faith....

Asoka got out of bed and stretched before getting dressed. It was time to find Piper and start with physical workouts. There was no time to waste when training. Ever.

Zauber awoke to the sound of one of the Headmaster's magic messengers flying through the hall. He got out of bed and began preparing for the training that he would face ahead. His most important possessions were laid out on the table next to him: The Mana Storage Necklace, Enchanted Statue, Jars of Elements, Forbidden book on Sprites, and Puzzle Box.

He ponders the intense training he is about to go through, plus the threat that could appear at any time, and decides to bring them all with him. Any of the items could prove useful in the unknown he was about to face. The only thing that he was missing was his Mage Tool, but as the Headmaster had said, that would return to him when the time was right.

With his preparations done, Zauber decides to head out. "I better find Eric before he gets himself into trouble with another prank" he says to himself.

Well, it was time.

It was weird, but Billy felt like this was the first day of the rest of his life.

He pulled himself up, got dressed in his best robe. He only had one style of robe, but he picked the least dirty one. He lifted the silver shovel off the wall, slapped on the little spider tool....

Hey, they was actually pretty good for babbys first insult.

....and ignored him.

Somewhere in the midst of all this, Gob woke up hungry like always.

"I don't know if we'll have much time to eat this morning, little friend." Billy said, leaning down and looking at the brain and eyes in a jar, "so you're welcome to the junk on the table."

Gob made an adorable sound somewhere between a yap and a purr and climbed up for a heart breakfast of jewelry and twigs. Billy, meanwhile, concentrated on what was in front of him. He clasp his hands together.

Necromancy doesn't really work the way people think it does. Only the very best could call up the literal spirits of the dead, who are long gone and far away from this world. But a body remembers it's former occupant, has a few embers there that burn forever. All you have to do is kindle them. You did not restore life. Neither did you create it. You simply fanned the flames until a shade was born to occupy a body. Ghosts were like that to, simply memories manifested by magic. In this case, the memories of buildings.

Still, a shade, shadow, copy of a person was still, itself, a person. With memories and feelings. If, of course, the Necromancer wanted that. Or it could be a com-pleat slave to the Necros will, fearless and unfeeling. Each had it's advantages.

Power began to build up in Billy Bishop, literally bubbling off of him do to the shape and nature of his Mana.

"Honered dead one, that which came before. Awaken and aide this humble servant in his hour of need. Protect this place from evil and watch over it's occupants. I raise thee in the name of the King, the Empress, and the Black Hall."

Billy unfolded his hands and the power flooded out like a tide of bubbles, slipping through the jar and alighting against the contents. The brain, the eyes, the jaw, all twitched as the mana filled it. Gob stopped eating and watched the brain spasm. Finally it settled, exactly as still and lifeless as it had been before. But Billy, who had been raised around creatures like it, could sense within it a sort of animal intelligence. Perhaps it was the way it sat a little to still.

Billy rose from his kneel. "Terror-Eyes, I request this room be watched. Report anyone who enters it to me, is that clear?"

The thing inclined slightly, a gesture that could only be interpreted as a nod.

"Excellent. Don't reveal yourself, even if someone tears the room apart."

Billy took his shovel and hefted it on his shoulder. She then extended his other arm to Gob, and patted it. Gob let out another cute shrike and hopped up, holding on by his little arms to Billy's shoulder and neck.

They went out the door like that, to face the day.

The headmaster rested in a chair at the head of the dining hall. The Tables in the hall had been pushed to either side or overturned to lean again the walls to create a large open space in which the students had begun to gather and chat amongst themselves nervously.

There were even fewer than that night before and the handful that remained were clearly frightened. They're eyes darted about as if the expected an attack to come at any moment. Most were older students, many of the younger students had fled after the first attack.

As more student gathered, the Headmaster stood up and addressed the students with a warm voice.

"Quiet down everyone, your training is about to begin."

Asoka stops stretching to listen to what the Headmaster would tell them. It would surely prove invaluable for reaching her sisters' level.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy walks into the room and frowns at the apparent atmosphere. He searches the crowd and finds most of the students much older than himself.

"What am I still doing here?" he says quetly to himself. Gob turns to face him, and Billy can't help but smile. Right, not everyone could just leave.

Besides, he'd already openly challenged the thing. It would shame the Bishop name if he left now.

He appears next to Asoka. "Good Morning."

[Philote]

A flash of light goes off in Eric's palm as Zauber places a shield to block him from his detonator.

"Not today friend" Zauber says jokingly "We've got some training to do and I'd like to meet up with everyone else without having to clean up one of your pranks. Now, come one!"

Zauber leads the reluctant Eric around the dining hall until he finds Billy, Asoka, and some others in their usual meeting spot. "Hello everyone. Today is going to be quite the eventful day isn't it?"

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Well, I certainly hope so. I came loaded to bear." Billy says. He shrugs the shovel off his shoulder and Gob readjusts his grip as Billy opens up his robe.

Stuffed into his inner pockets, of which there are many, are the biggest books he could reasonably fit into them.

"I visited the library on the way here." he says, beaming.
