The Kethencian College of Magic RP (Part 3)

[Philote]

"I wonder what they are planning, suddenly showing up like this" Zauber ponders.

"What are we going to do now? Is there some way we can prepare for these attackers?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"I'm taking you on as my personal students. I'm going to see to it that you're ready to face the Acolytes.........indecently, have you all found your mage tools?"

[Philote]

Zauber suddenly stiffens and looks around nervously "Well you see..... I did have it found..... and then Kyrse came around..... there was this unfortunate curse....." Zauber explains "I've lost it."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Not to worry young mage. It'll find you. Mage tools have the funny little habit of always turning up when you need them."

[Philote]

"That's good, I would not wish to be without it for long" Zauber says "Not with such a big task before us."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Well, I think it best if you all got some hard earned sleep. Big day tomorrow and all that."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Wait, when you say 'you', who do you mean?"

Billy had a rough idea of what the answer would be, but shocked disbelief caused the question to pop out. Surly he wasn't included....right?

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"You, as in, you students here with me now. I'm going to train you all."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Yes, just as he had thought. But only one questing came to him.

Personal lessons. Could this man really bring them all to that level so quickly? If so, they would be an army of magic users against just the handful of the Red Eyes projections.

Of course he could. How old must this man be?

"Thank you, sir, for clarifying that." he said, almost in awe. "I will...I swear I'll do my best! I'll go to bed right away, and be up bright and early."

With that, Billy happily skipped out of the room, Gob gripping tightly to his back. Of course, he wouldn't go right to bed. He stopped around the Corner to wait for Zaubar and whoever he could round up. Absentmindedly, he pulled out the communicator he'd slipped into his pocket and flipped it on. "Hello? Hello, Mr. James. Are you there?"

After all, if the school was mobilizing there was no point in keeping anyone out of it any longer. Now was the time for safety in numbers.

[Philote]

"I'll be ready to train, sir" Zauber said seriously. He was not sure if it was his Correnian nature, but the prospect of advancing his powers and the need to be prepared for the Red eye and its minions had Zauber fired up.

Many students departed from the scene to recuperate from the days events, but Zauber was able to catch sight of Billy as he moved off. "Follow me, we need to make sure we are all on the same page before we head off for the night" he says to his allies gathered behind him. Zauber sets off quickly to gain Billy's attention and catches up to him immediately just around the corner from where they had seen the visions.

"So, you had the same idea as me" Zauber comments as he eyes the strange device that Billy is carrying.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy fumbles the device for a moment in surprise, before seeing that it was just Zaubar. "Oh, uh, yes! I met an interesting guy who loaned me these. I have more in my room." He surveyed the group the Zaubar had brought with him. "You don't mind 2 more, I trust? These people have been a valuable resource to my investigation. Though, maybe with this many we should find somewhere to meet other than my room?"

[Philote]

"A communication device?" Zauber asks "That could be invaluable. Would definitely save us time running around hoping to stumble into each other. If you trust the guy who gave them to you, then I do too, we need as many people serious about taking on the Red Eyes as possible."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Yes, now that everyone is involved we can't pick and choose.  If the headmaster has declared war, than it must be total war." Billy fiddles with the device, attempting to raise a signal on the other end. Could James have turned it off? Or perhaps...

No, he couldn't afford to freak out now. There would be time enough for that later.

"Of course." he said, trying to push such thoughts to the back of his mind, "I don't expect everyone thinks quite like me. I'd hazard that more are already making their way home as we speak. I, for one, don't blame them."

[Philote]

Zauber sighed "Yeah, I suppose I can not blame them either, but I had not thought about how much our numbers could drop until now."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

The device sputtered to life and James peered through the screen at Billy, part of his face obscured by a black scarf wound tightly about his neck and jaw. The scene behind him wasn't his usual room.

"Hmph, whuts uhp Billay?" He mumbled through the scarf on his face.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Oh, hold on a minute, Mr. Zauber. I've got those two on the line. Hello, Mr. James! I was just calling up because me and some others were having a little get together to discuss the Red eye, you know share information and such, and I thought that, well, since you and Miss Oddac have been such a large help already you might attend."

The formalities out of the way, Billy strains his neck to get a look behind James not quite getting how the two way worked. "Unless you have a previous engagement, of course?" He adds, a bit questioningly.

[Philote]

(I don't think Zauber has seen these devices yet, correct me if I'm wrong)

"What have you got there Billy?" Zauber questions as he leans closer to check out the screen. "I don't believe I've met this fellow you're speaking with."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"No! I mean...um...I've gut no othur plans rat now. Wur do you wunt toe meat?" James replied through the muffling gauze of the scarf around his neck.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Well, I suppose my room would be best. It's fairly large and, well, you should know where it is right? Because of the package? If not, just come along to the Death Dorm Wing, I'll leave a flower outside my door so you know which one. And remember to bring miss Oddac. Oh, This is Mr. Zaubar. Mr. Zaubar, this is Mr. James. I'll introduce you properly once we gather."

[Philote]

"Sounds like we are getting to a decent size for our group" Zauber comments "Perhaps we could form some sort of special task force for dealing with the Red Eye. A large group of mages is nice, but with a small highly trained group we could go head to head with the Red Eye's minions."

"Either way we should head to your room and make sure everyone is up to speed."
