Large creature, tail, deep red eyes....
Billy closed up his notebook and slipped it into his pocket. One last thing to take care of here, and he could move on. Professor Sid was the only one left in the room, and Billy walked up to him. "Sir, one last thing. Who should I talk to to insure that these peoples last rights are followed to the letter?"

Zauber's burnt hand instinctively touches his necklace. He did not need to touch the necklace to draw out mana from it, but the physical contact did not hurt the process. Zauber begins burning through the mana quickly, knowing that he can work on making the spell more mana efficient later, and expands the energy around his hand into a larger shield like shape. The spray isn't pushed back, but most of the stream is deflected away from his body.
Eventually, he has enough and Zane closes off the jar as Zauber catches his breadth. "How was that?" he asks.

"Yes, very well. Thank you, professor. Good day." Billy says, perhaps a little icier than he intended, and walks out of the room.
To the boy's credit, he manages to make it out of that room before breaking into a dead sprint down the hallway. Things had gone all pear shaped. It was out! It was out and it was killing people! All of those deaths were in the village but most of them were students, so it obviously had preferences. What if it slipped in here? Who would it go for first? Who had he involved in this madness. Oh ghosts, don't tell me it was killing people because I went and poke it with a- Billy slowly stopped running, aware that he wasn't actually going anywhere, and leaned against a wall gulping in the air. He looked around, wondering just how far he had gone? Looking around at a hallway he did not recognize he notice one other thing. Billy Bishop was totally alone. He adhered a little more to the wall, trying to will himself into the shadows, trying to avoid....what, exactly? He wasn't sure, but large red eyes gleamed with evil in his skull. But it was in the village, the rational part of his brain pleaded. It doesn't have to be, countered survival instinct, it can go anywhere it pleases. But what if it can't? Billy wondered about this. What if it couldn't come into the school, or wouldn't because it was afraid? After all, if it was some sort of magic vampire it would want to hint here if it could, right? Not live off what it got from those in town, it wanted mages. That's why it was attacking former students. Billy had calmed down enough to start thinking clearly after several minuets, and had come up with a short "To Do" list. Better safe than sorry, he had decided. He had to work on the assumption that it could come into the school, but had chosen not to. With that in mind, who would it go after? Powerful mages asleep in their beds had been the obvious answer, but something else bugged him. It had reached out to Gob to get rid of evidence, what's to say it wouldn't do that job itself? Billy briefly entered the throngs of panic again. Where was Gob? Gob was in class. Where is Gobs class? He didn't know!!! But no, he pulled himself back. Can't think about that now. They had all been attacked alone, and Gob was in class. He was surrounded by other people. If he didn't show up at dinner, THEN Billy would worry. But who would it target if not Gob? Who did he know that was involved and alone a lot of the time? A sharp intake of breath singled his conclusion. He whipped out the communicator that James had given him, flipped the nob, steadied his voice, and began to talk. Calmly. "Mr. James, so sorry to bother you. Um... Have you seen Miss Oddac recently? Like, today?"

"Um...maybe"
He explains about the red eyed creature, the magic draining, and ther vision from the spider doll he brought her. "In short, I may have gotten her involved in some Rally Nasty Stuff, and she seems to spend a lot of time by herself. I don't think that should continue. In fact, everyone should stay in groups just to be safe."

"Thank you sir" Zauber replies before collecting the jars into his arms to transfer back to his room.

James nods seriously as he receives the information.
"That sounds serious, I'll head back there and keep her company. I'm sure we'll be fine."

"Thank you, thank you very much." Billy said, relived. "Tell anyone you think will believe you to travel in groups and watch themselves, especially in the city, and that if they have any doubts they check the bodies in the morgue. Goodbye, Mr. James."
Billy closes up the communicator, relived. He could relax a bit, and think a bit. He has to talk with the headmaster, that was certain, to see if anything was being done and to see if the Professor Karth had discovered anything. He also had to warn the others. He could do all that at dinner. Yes, Yes, everyone would be at dinner. He would see about that Janitor afterwards. Now, pressing issues. Billy looked around. Where was he?

It was at this time that small sprite came streaking down the hall screeching a message.

Zauber hears the message as he finishes unloading the last of the jars onto a shelf in his room. With nothing better to do and little other choice, Zauber immediately heads towards the headmaster's office.

Billy sees the sprite streak past, shouting it's message.
Well, that was convenient. Billy follows after it at all speed, until it and he stop at the headmasters door. "Hello, Mr. Zaubar. I've got something important to.." He says, stopping ever few seconds to regain some breath. "Actually, later. Later."
