The Kethencian College of Magic RP (Part 2)

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Gob was staring intently at Mush. His brain working furiously to make the connection he knew was there. Eventually, Mush looked up from his wok as he finished wrapping the Honey rolls. His eyes widened with recognition.

"Gob?"

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy braced for impact.

[Philote]

Zauber watched as Piper loaded up her bags with anything that caught her interest, he did not have the luxury of spending money so freely. "How did you earn to much money?" Zauber asked.

 "I barely have enough for one of these" he said as he picked up one to examine its quality. The one he held was of a wooden charm hanging over a pool of water promising better test grades. He set it back down, not satisfied that it was the one he wanted to spend his money on.

Mush jumped the counter and practically tackled Gob. Gob took it with a blank look on his face, his mind was still trying to process this. Mush hugged Gob tight spouting gibberish about missing him.

Gob finally put it together in his mind.

"Mush....Gob's.......Brother......"

"Earn? You earn your money? My family just gives me this money as an allowance, they're kinda wealthy."

[Philote]

"Not exactly, I don't have a job yet so this is all I have" Zauber explained "Coming from off world, I'm lucky to have any of this currency at all."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Asoka: "Our families obviously have different philosophies. Mine requires the earning of honor to use the family wealth."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"That sounds terrible." Piper says bluntly.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Nope, not gonna....not gonna...... oh, totally gonna.

Billy turns around, holds his arm up in front of  his eyes, and begins weeping like a infant at the brotherly reunion.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Not really. It helps to teach the value of hard work. An old saying among my people states that if you want to enjoy life, then you need to work."

As Gob and Mush hug and Billy cries, the baker watches with a strange look on his face while continuing to knead his dough.

...but Piper is no longer listening. She has already moved on to the next shiny thing that caught her attention.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy swishes around suddenly, tears still slightly staining his eyes.

"This is remarkable. The First place we look and everything. Surely this must have been fate!"

[Philote]

Zauber sighs "Are you even checking if any of these might be your tool Piper?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"My tool? Oh right, we're supposed to be looking for our mage tools!"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Suddenly the sounds of chaos reverberate into the bakery from outside. Something, or rather someone, was causing a ruckus.

[Philote]

Zauber rolls his eyes "I'm guessing none of these items are resonating with you?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"They were pretty......I liked them." Piper giggles.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Hmmm?" Said Billy, looking up from the touching display.

"Gob" he said, "Stay here and catch up with your brother, I'll check it out." He payed for his Homey rolls, and carried them outside.

Standing outside, holding a bag of rolls like a shield, he looked around.

[Philote]

"Maybe we should head to the next shop" Zauber suggests picking up the item he had decided on "Lets find the shop owner."

The item that he held was a black slanted table made of obsidian resting on a platform of the same material. The reason he had chosen this item  was that the table was inscribed with the same hexagon shape that tattooed his body. The object came with a card simply stating that it promised knowledge.
