Zale, Gd, and I traveled for a couple days, taking short breaks to eat and take turns sleeping. We had escaped the situation but the military presence was still heavy in the area as they searched for ground troops of the aliens.
We were exhausted, but we knew that the town was only a short trip away. Because of our exhaustion, we did not notice a group close to us until we had practically walked into where they had camped.
The group had confused looks on their faces as they noticed us approaching, but the look vanished when the first of them noticed my face.
In an instant the three of them activated their powers, while Zale and GD readied theirs next to me. For a moment, we just stood their looking at each other, with our powers ready to strike.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
