Yeah, assuming the plants don't somehow gain sentience (or decide to reveal some sentience they've had this entire time) and uproot themselves to fight back.
Then, our only option is nuclear. IF they let us reach "The Button".

Technically speaking, a gas mask would easily disable this "Threat" long enough for us to wipe out plants.

Yeah, assuming the gas wasn't just the first line of defense, and the final line of defense doesn't include the plants agrokinetically manipulating themselves to move around, to use their vines and roots and leaves as weapons, and to regenerate...

We have things that kill and retard plant growth.
If there's one thing Humans are really, really good at, it's finding new and exciting ways to kill things.

This is why half the aliens in any setting I make up have the human race listed as "Do Not Disturb".
They go visit every other sapient race except ours, because we scare the bejesus out of them.

Hey, I have a suggestion for this thread. What if I post one movie at the very beginning of the thread, and leave it up for a week. You guys can watch it for the week and comment on it and whatnot, and then the week after, we can decide what movie you want to be able to watch next, and so on.
We could even use the thread to discuss movies that we've watched in the past that we really like, and compare which we think are better, and discuss various online movie critiques and whatnot. What do you guys think?

Go for it, I've had inordinate amounts of time to watch movies lately....

Okay, cool. Now, all I need is for other folks to agree (giving me reason to think the idea will be successful in attracting watchers), and then to decide on what movie to put up first.

OKAY! So! I'm gonna revamp this thread into hopefully something you guys will like.
Every once in a while I will put up a new poll with different movies listed, and you guys can vote on which ones you want me to put up. I'll try to keep them in the range of the paranormal, supernatural, mystical, fantasy, sci-fi, etc. I'll post the latest poll shortly.

I would like to recommend a movie. Well, not so much a movie as a TV special. One Halloween, the BBC did a special Mockumentary called Ghostwatch which used real BBC newscasters and crew where they spent the night in a haunted house. It was basically Englands War of the Worlds broadcast, except with a ghost instead of aliens. They never played it again, and the whole thing is up for free on Google video.
It's really effective for something of it's kind. Go in blind, watch it as the original audience watched it. It's not as good as the TV cut of Alien Abduction: Incident at Lake County (Which is impossible to find, and that a real shame because it's the most effective found footage movie I've ever watched) but still really good.

Okay, sure, I'll give it a try. Sounds pretty interesting!
This thread is perfect for recommending movies. Though, I wonder if I should let this also serve for movie reviews and other movie chat as well. Do you think so?

In that case, I would like to recommend every movie ever made by Nickolas Cage. It is my belief that that man can make any movie entertaining. I will watch anything with Cage in it just to experience his brand of Mega Acting. Please refer to this chart for Nick Cage movies.
In particular, Raising Arizona is awesome, Vampires Kiss is completely insane, and Face/Off is an entire movie of Nick Cage doing his best John Travolta impression and John Travolta doing his best Nick Cage impression trying to out ham one another. What I'm saying is that Face/Off is a work of art.

Some say that what you call mega-acting is actually called 'bad acting'. I don't watch nearly enough of him to judge, myself, but I know that I kinda liked him in City of Angels, and he absolutely made a bad call in Ghost Rider 2. Other than that... Oh, and Knowing. Knowing was pretty abstractly okay, too.

Until I get this thing up and proper, let's have a laugh with Katt Williams! If your sense of humor does not correspond with what comedy he puts forth (if profanity bothers you, or you're sensitive about race, religion, politics, sexuality or pop culture), then you're not faulted; I'm just sharing something that entertains me, partly as a result of the culture I grew up in. Hope you enjoy.
