But it's so much FUN to carry on multiple arguments at once. :D

your a bit off there, ancient greece, Egypt, and Maia were pretty much caught up we'd probably have already cracked time travel by now if they all hadn't had societal apocalypses, two of which were caused by the Europeans and the other apparently unknown some sort of mass exodus.

Not when you don't which one to argue...
ANYWAYS... @Jester: What the crap were you talking about? You're coming off like one of those loony conspiracy people that thinks life woulda been better if we got rid of the education system...

Right. So, basically, it's the European's fault that we're genetically inferior to our somewhat superhuman ancestors?

although I will admit that the education system does need a major labodamy I do not believe we would be better off without it, life would dissolve into heck.

Right, so how is that so different from the economy?

Hey that rhymes! But no. Genetics don't change like that.
If I go out right now and spend the next ten years getting into shape, that does not mean that any children I have will naturally be brawny. If that was true, then any injury you had would pass on the next generation. Cleopatra can hardly be called modern. You do know that's a satire right? Explain what you mean by a society driven by actual characteristics. I find it amusing that you seem to be supporting Darwinist thoughts..

darn you, you contradictory wulf. Okay look at it this way. lets say you isolate a group of cheetas from the wild, give them a near unlimited food supply, and punish the horribly for any indication of violence provide medical help so that any health default that would normally lead to death is fixed and the subject can readily reproduce. waith ten thousand years. what happens?

@Zale: Yes, he does.
@Jester: They continue to be cheetahs, more than likely attacking you for trying to punish their natural, instinctive behaviors.

The dark ages...
That was caused by the collapse of the Roman Empire via invading barbarian tribes. It's true that we would probably be a bit farther ahead if that hadn't happened..

Fluffy cheetahs.
What you are think would partially happen. Part of their behavior would have been look-and-copy, but a good bit of it is instinct. If you wanted to get them to stop being like that, you'd need to remove the aggressive behavior genes from the gene pool. Any one of them that showed undue aggression, you'd take away from the others. Eventually, they'd all be some what docile. Bad example on incorrect premises.

By how much? It only would imply that we reach our nation's impending social implosion a couple hundred years earlier, and sure we'd be more advanced, but the people currently on Superpowerlist would be vastly different people, not entirely in a good way.
I mean, that's like trying to imagine what life would be like if none of our ancestors ever cam to America. I'd be an African prince, or a warrior, or hunter or something. Zale would be wherever his ancestors came from. And Jester would never have been born, because he's biracial, and the 2 or more races constituting his ethnicity would never have met. We can't dwell on the past.

Exactly.
See, Jester? When an Agnostic and a Christian can agree on the nature of ethics, morality and the premise of nature v. nurture, you know you've got a flawed idea on your hands...

Not true.
The only way that would happen is if people with those characteristics stopped having children. The reason we aren't as strong right now is because we don't work out like our ancestors did. They had to fight for their lives early on, and even later they had to work much much harder than us. They were stronger because they used their muscles more, not because they were genetically superior.

It would die.
No instinct to shield itself from predators, no instinct to find food (or how to do it), no instinct to try to find shelter, no instinct to mate. No such animal exists, or could.
