Imagine ten chalkboards grating inside of your skull while a rabbid monkey plays a fiddle connected to a heavy metal amp. That's at point blank, hand to face. From five feet it's more like airhorn to the ear, and so on as distance decreases. until it's barely audible from a mile or so away. I'm basing this off of the tunnel crickets ability to amplify it's voice to carry miles by rigging a megaphone out of the ground, but built into the hands instead. It would take up a large amount of energy though.
