Re: Role Play Creator the Second

Gentleman Vaultboy
Just wrote up a statblock for Ammon the Mummy for fun. By no means does this really change anything. It's more a way to show everyone else what he can do.It's a bit short, so I thought I take the time to explain the metric I'm using.

The whole thing is divided into Stats, Skills and Powers. The Stats are pretty self explanatory, and there are 4 of them: Strength: How strong you are.
Agility: How quickly you can move.
Endurance: Not a measure of defense, but of how long you can keep going.
Magic: Someone magical abilities.

Skills are things that your character would posses, even if they were a human with no powers. Things like Marksmanship, Sailing, and Horseback Riding are Skills.

Powers are the special things about your characters, and cover anything they get from having a superpower, being a mythical creature, etc. etc. Laser vision, Shape-shifting, Astral Projection.

Everything gets a Letter assigned to it to show how powerful it is, E through A. What the letters means is:

E: Below Average. For example, someone with no legs  would be E rank in Agility, or a creature made of glass would be E in Endurance. Someone who doesn't know how to drive would be E in Driving.

D: Average. You are no better than most people in whatever you have a D in.

C: Adept. The level of the hobbyist ans the student. A C rank means higher than average, but not enough to be truly notable.

B: Expert. The level of the Olympian, someone with B rank is obviously exceptional in that area. This Rank is the very limit of what someone can achieve.

A: Superhuman. Someone who exceeds the human limits and make the impossible, possible. The rank of the superman. This is the Rank where people start lifting cars.

In addition, there's an EX rank. EX is a special rank. An EX means that you are so exceptional in that field that it is literally impossible to quantify your abilities by any metric. To give an example, most gods have this stat in everything.

In addition to Rank, powers have catagories that tell what they are used for. Support, Anti-Unit, Anti-Army, and Anti-Castle.

Support: Abilities that help directly. Passive buffs, healing, and powers you use to help others are support. Also, anything that doesn't fall under the other categories.

Anti-Unit: Effective against a single target.

Anti-Army: Effective against multiple targets.

Anti-Castle: Effective against buildings and defenses.

So, Ammon would be:

STR: A
AGI: D
END: A
MAG: C

Skill: Adaptable (D)
Ammon is a naturally thrifty person, and able to adapt quickly to strange situations.

Skill: Knowledge of the Ancients (Egyptian)[C]
Having lived and died in the time of the ancient Pharaohs, Ammon is able to tell with accuracy what life was like in ancient Egypt, at least in his area. He can not go into great detail about history, nor can he read Hieroglyphics, but ask him about the day to day life of the commoners and he'll be able to tell you.

Power: Mythic Translation (Support, A)
A spell cast by ancient Egyptian priests, designed to allow Tomb Guardians to hunt grave robbers even to foreign lands. Ammon is effective a universal translator, able to read and comprehend any language.

Power: Tomb Guardian (Support, A)
A spell cast by ancient Egyptian priests, set into the very bandages that Ammon together. As long as the bandages and talismans therein remain intact, Ammon will remain alive with A ranks in both Strength and endurance. This power will be in effect even if only one bandage supports it.

Power: Regeneration (Support, C)
A spell cast by ancient Egyptian priests, designed to allow Tomb Guardians to disguise their nature. By stealing the organs of another (Eyes, Tongue, Lungs, Intestines, Liver, and Brain) and consuming water, Ammon can restore his face and body to their original appearance. Water must be periodically consumed to retain this effect, or Ammon will begin to dry out again.

Power: Divinity (Support, E)
By consuming the Organs of Pharaoh, a living god, Ammon has become slightly divine himself. Divine enough to perform extremely small miracles, such as causing a piece of barley to grow faster, or cause a moderately sized puddle to flood it's banks.

First come first serve, so Marv gets Magic and Zale gets Nail. Wulf and Vault will have to reselect those options.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Yeah, and I take Fireball, from Symbiosis.

And that Symbiosis is with the Elementals of Celadon who gave me my powers as Penultimate.

4. Zombie
5. Gorilla
6. Ghost
7. Golem
8. Minotaur
9. Treant
10. Slime

(What kind of Gorilla? The ape [Genus and species: Gorilla gorilla], or the ape-women of mythology [The Gorillai]?)

I choose Alien. But, like one of those alien species that looks human, with subtle internal anatomical enhancements that make it superhuman. And if I can't choose that, I pick Yautja.

If it is not even spelled the same do you even have to ask?

Any alien, any way you like.

Gorillai is plural. The singular is Gorilla.

And, yeah, I think I'd take something that looks human, but maybe subtly taller and more muscular (and prone to superhuman attributes).
