No?

He'd need to have met them and known them to think they were dead, wouldn't he?

not known them well, but at least known them, yes...

Re: Offical RP thread.

Wish
Couldn't think about how to add to the story so added a side story explaining what happened to all the old villains.---They have now unwittinigly joined James Lubin's gang to steal stuff.

Also introduced Dr. L the man that is now after Charisma's eyes----yes for once we have a character that does not want to kill someone----only take their eyes.

Also Dane is still dead. I'm just going to say that its someone impersonating him---unless someone really wants to bring him back.

Um...that last post kinda sounded...science-fictiony...and comic-book-y. You didn't want to finish up the interrogation? I think the villains could resurface, but that's kinda too soon. And, again, a bit dramatic. I'd really like to give the protags some more time. They still have to rescue Jack and head up north.

Hmm....I'm running out of ideas....and yes it was "comic booky"

Now that I think about it.

I'm going to remove it once I come up with something better.

Mother of crap, Wish, that was a good re-write...hehe...and a good plot twist, too. I likes it. Now, time to find my Artist character? I think so.

Sorry, it had to be done. They have to meet up in Boston anyways. Jack gets rescued (by Wayne's party consisting of Damien and Flores) and they work together to take down Overlady Lillith Vanda-Savage. I don't know if you had anything else planned in California, but we still can find the Artist in Boston.

And BTW: props again for discerning the exact moment to bring Jolyne back

jester_of_god
please for the love of all things good, rework the acutal evolutionists stone back into this story, I don't care if it involves Aliens, super beings, deomons, or Elvis. It would provide some needed continuation and drive if you run out of ideas, and would explain where a suddenly over powered crop of people could have come from, such as a project to enhance their strenght using the evolustionists stone, like the woman who can lift buildings for example, or your reality bender.

It's still in the story...and just in case you forgot, it doesn't ACTUALLY bestow heightened powers...

are you talking about the fake rock that the half demon has, or the actual stone? Even then if it doesn't bestow powers by itself, they should have at least have been able to develope a device which does that. I'm sure there are a few technopaths/super geniuses capable of this.

they've been working on it, and who's to say that they don't already have something like it? Ugh, work with me, the story is still in the early stages; heck, we've only visited two overlords, and only taken out one.

fair enough, but I'm still questioning whether it was a good idea to start the story with the team already assembled, and on the verge of gaining the "evolutionists stone." Events like that usually happen about mid way in the book. Like you said earlier it was a pretty bold move.

well, yeah, but it was less important to get the stone than what happened as a result...

besides, if they spent too much time getting the stone, then we'd be probably JUST getting to Cabral or Santa Fe...

Re: Offical RP thread.

Sinrus
Hey there, people. I'm Sinrus, aka that guy who was an idiot and tried to copy you on a different site a while back and finally got around to reading everything here. And now that I'm all caught up, I hope to be joining you all in telling this awesome, awesome story.

But since everything is just beginning to start going down again, I find myself a little confused on a couple points. First off, the whole situation with Jack. What's going on with him, exactly? I know he was captured by the government, but the whole circumstances of how that happened and what's happening to him now seem to have eluded me.

Second, where's Charisma and what exactly is she up to?

Third, if I could just get a rundown of what everybody's going to be doing in Chicago, Boston, etc., that would be magnificent.

Thanks a million, and I look forward to working on this with you.
I came to them out of mists and rain;
I came to them in dreams at midnight;
I came to them in a flock of ravens that filled the northern sky at dawn...

Kay, I think I can clear you up, because our story kinda does lack some clarity.

1) Jack was captured by Archer when he tried to go off on his own (remember the scene when they were on the train?); He was taken to a government facility in an undisclosed location (which may be revealed later if I can think of a good place); however, the President ordered him to be sent away by Jolyne when he refused to work on the President's evil plot; however, because Jolyne has also been forcefully saddled with the job of basically baby-sitting him (looking after him in case he decides to turn to their side); because of this, instead of sending him off to get tortured, or killed or something, Jolyne wants him to find his friend, the Artist, who can help get rid of the tattoo she's been saddled with, and with that, the responsibility of babysitting)

2) Charisma is currently at another government facility (at yet another undisclosed location, which may be revealed later); she's going to help release the supers which she helped wrongfully imprison (the government convinced her that the protagonists' allies were really villains, but Jack helped her realize that they were really the bad guys)

3) Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston are the sites of three major Overlords: Overlady Ella Camphrey (the Raven Lady), Overlady Lillith Vandal-Savage (Mistress Lil) and the Mover, respectively, so they basically are just devising plans to get rid of those guys.

Camphrey depends mainly on intimidation

Vandal-Savage relies more on keen observation and knowing one's enemies

The Mover prefers brute force.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.
