Alright, who can guess where I got the idea for Reincarnation 2: Soulstone from? I decided to create this topic because nobody knew where I got the idea from, when I thought it would be simple. I can't believe I'm the only one who knows this.
Clues: -It's not Harry Potter, but it is from a book. -I have slightly modified the idea for this website, such as allowing it to revive your body. I may add more in future. Once somebody guesses it, I will create a power tailored to them. You must be fairly specific.

World of warcraft warlocks of course, though druids are better
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Yes! I hoped I wasn't the only one who read the Inheritance series!
I wonder when the 4th book will come out. It should be a great book , especially with Paolini's habit of bringing out old minor plotlines into the main story.

I'm lucky in that way -I have a good memory. You can look up on this site for anything about the inheritance cycle:
http://inheritance.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page That way, you don't need to worry about forgetting anything. I forgot a few things, but re-learned them there. By the way, what kind of power would you like named after you?

The Necronomicon is a ficticious book, created in the 1920s by author H.P. Lovecraft.
In his stories, the book is over a thousand years old, originally written around 70 A.D. (no original copies exist, most of them are from the 1600s). It was written by a man named Abdul Alhazred, and it is a guide to the facets of the world we do not see- primarily, the "Old Ones," gods from other dimensions that are presently dead but will return to life in the near future, bringing the apocalypse with them. It explains the nature and histories of these gods in detail, and, most importantly, the means to summon them and call upon their power. Remember, it is completely fictional- if you want to contest that, show me something I can use to get into contact with Yog-Sothoth. In the stories it's basically a comprehensive guide, around a thousand pages long, filled to the brim with spells, formula, and insane, disorganized rambling. Most copies are at least several hundred years old, generally large leather-bound books. Almost all of them are missing pieces, the ages having taken their toll. If you want a reproduction/prop of the idea (remember, fictional- if there is magic, then you won't find it here), I have five recommendations. My first recommendation is DO NOT buy the "Simon Necronomicon." It is a very, very boring rehash of Sumerian myth that is not at all connected to the mythos, except for a very silly introduction. You should also probably stay away from the Owslick (this one had a very honorable mission- get "Necronomicon" listed in the library of congress, but it's basically just some art), Hay (a cheap, stupid attempt to cash in), and Gieger (a collection of art that just used the name) Necronomicons. The second is the "Necronomicon" by Donald Tyson. It's barely two hundred pages long, it contains ZERO spells/alchemical formulas/insane ramblings, and it takes some liberties with Lovecraft's mythology. For example, out of the huge pantheon of the Old Ones, almost all of whom are mysterious, terrifying, and interesting, Tyson takes seven, declares them the "Lords of the Old Ones," and writes about them exclusively, when the Necronomicon is supposed to include pretty much *EVERYTHING*. Would it have killed him to at least name-drop Hastur, Shudde-M'ell, Y'Golonac, Cthugha, Daoloth, Ghatanothoa, Eihort, Glaaki, Ithaqua, Ghroth, Tulzscha, Abhoth, Atlach-Nacha, etc? But if you're willing to ignore those problems, you really can get lost in it and imagine that it's some VERY expurgated edition of the real thing. The third is the "Necronomicon: Selected Stories and Essays Concerning the Blasphemous Tome of the Mad Arab", edited by Robert M. Price. This book has three things in it- 1) Nine different short stories about or containing the Necronomicon. 2) Several essays on the Necronomicon, generally pretending that the Necronomicon is a real book (Price's "A Critical Commentary on the Necronomicon" alone is worth the cost of the entire anthology). 3) A few attempts at reproductions of the Necronomicon. While they're short- sixty pages at the most, they have a very good feel for it. Fourth; you could try building your own copy. There's a myriad of websites on the topic; try http://www.miskatonic.net/pickman/mythos/ or http://necrobones.com/mythos/. Or do a search on "eBay"; there's almost always two or three different home-made versions floating around. Finally, wait. A group called the "H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society" (google HPLHS) is putting together their own version. I've had the privilege of seeing some previews of it, and it looks like it will be PERFECT. It will be available in three forms- a PDF file (so you can print it out and build your own from scratch), a kit containing all the materials needed to print out the text and build your Necronomicon, and as a (probably VERY expensive) complete book. Though it may seem like it, they are still working on it- but they're at a snail's pace (it's been since 2007). But they say "fingers crossed" for a 2011 release. |

yeah, I remember this book kinda. I knew about it as a kid though, and often confused it with the Egyptian Book of the Dead, lol...

If anyone brings up Omnipotence again (except when discussing the upcoming "Jump" series or Omni Vampire) I will fight them in the substitute battle arena.
I wonder why nobody goes on there anymore?

What about:
Reincarnation 5: Philote's Warp -Philote gets to shape an afterlife. -Everyone with this power gets to go there upon death, including Philote. -However, you can permanently kill someone else, including Philote, thus taking the throne of the afterlife and the power that go with it for yourself. I can't make the Reincarnation series have a power which makes someone invincible. I might make it everyone can make an afterlife and allow selected people to enter it, but Philote has it automatically.

Hmm i like it sounds interesting, instead of creating afterlife though could it be that i create a place that grabs people temporarily before they go to afterlife and then once they die in my dimension they go to afterlife, and maybe a part that lets me select who, or what kind of people i pull into the world.
