....Okay,so as for items do they suddenly just fall oout of the air....then agian couldn't we just look up an evolution showed on TV of an evolution from an abra to a alakazam?

If I recall correctly, Sabrina, the Gen I Psychic Gym leader, had an Abra which evolved to a Kadabra during her first battle against Ash. But the anime isn't always correct (e.g. Abra using Teleportation to teleport around the battlefield to evade attacks, Pikachu's thunder attacks damaging ground/rock Pokémon, Exeggcute evolving without a leaf stone,....)

I know it's used to limit their power, but where do they find them? If they suddenly evolve during a match, do they have to run to the nearest belt shop to get one? Same thing for Slowpoke/Slowbro. In the game, if Slowpoke evolves in an area where no Shellder should and if you have no Shellder in your party, where does the Shellder come from?
