Perhaps we could put a cap on how many abilities you can have active at once.


Not just for power sharing, but in general.


You can have as many powers as you want, but you can only use a certain number at once.

If you want to, say, use superspeed instead of weather control, you'd have to stop and take a minute or two to make the mental adjustments required to activate that power.

How would a power Like I'm rubber and your glue face against this. Also, what about powers that irradicate the environment...like an attack that destroys all of the oxygen in the surrounding atmosphere.

I don't like the exchange time either. However, I like the idea of a limited number of powers used at once, as long as we can switch instantly. I think we should have the cap as:
-2 active powers.
-3 passive powers.
-Infinite side effects (provided they're not too powerful -I'm talking about things like the anti ageing effect of Resurrection Man).

In the case of powers which are a bit of both, they switch between the two at appropriate times. For instance:
-Reincarnation Determination: You pick your reincarnation as an active power, but then it becomes passive again, kicking in upon death.
-Resurrection Man: Using the acquired power is active unless the power is passive, in which case it is a separate passive power. The resurrection kicks in as passive and anti-ageing is a side effect.

In the middle of a nearly destoryed city where super powered humanoids had run amuck, destroying everything in their path everything was silent. then an instant later a figure appeared in the middle of the street. There was no boom, no ripple, no sound, he just appeared wearing a black suit with a red undershirt. He breathed in deeply and sighed as a large grin crept across his face. "Ah I just love the smell of Chaos in the morning. "  His words didn't seem to match up with his mouth. Suddenly a furred four armed simian like creature the size of a human laped form one of the alleyways towards him. before it even came within two feetof him, it brok apart, as if it had just made of water that had just been blown away in a fearce wind and dissapeared. Several dozen then began appearing out of the streets encircling around him growling fearcely. His smile grew wider, "well isn't that lovely." The entire city seemed to freeze, and jerk for an instant, and then all of the creatures were gone. " I need to learn to restrain myself more. Rhiolo looked at a stream of blood that was floating a few feet away from his skin, and condensed it into a ball, before popping it into his mouth.  "Low iron count, not enough density,and no hemoglobyn, an ameryon eh, almost starving, no wonder, this isn't their world afterall, oh well." he said spitting it out. "It's about time it's about time I've paid my friend Mik Hael a visit anyway, I can't believe he's gotten here before me this time ."  he then started walking sideways, somehow two immages of himself that turned clockwise and counter clockwise at the same timem "Or maybe I'll see what all of this commotion  in the other cities is about." he said this just before the two images met and he dissappeared.

...................................if you happened to be moving at the city close to the speed of light during this time, you would have seen the entire area suddenly errupt into a swriling maelstrom of chaos as  if heck itself had been let loose for an instant,  leaving the entire area as a barren wastland of scarred molten ground, with a single figure standing in the center, before the entire city suddenly seemed to rebuild itself out of nothing, creating an exact copy.

I was sitting on my throne in the middle of the grand hall of the castle I had constructed to house the anomaly core and my citizens. I was sleeping in a meditative state, contemplating new possiblities when I felt a ripple in reality, immediately my eyes snapped open... "Great, he's back."
