"Minds of their sort, I'd figure that they have peace of mind quite often." The Penultimate replies, "And anyhow, I think we should hurry onto the Road to Dawn. Before things get too hectic. The robots are fast approaching, judging from what Computress relayed."

"Right. Everyone, to the longboat." It says, jumping into the now grounded Lifeboat. The hooded figure waits patiently. "Mind, there's still fighting going on between my skeleton crew and anything mechanical on my boat. Try not to bust things up to badly. I have a guy who's a genius at repair, but he's inside of me at the moment."

We all board, and ascend to the Road to Dawn. For the vessel to be of any use, we'll need it entirely tech-free.
(Sorry for the short post, caught up in something right now...)

(Are we still on Haven? I thought we moved somewhere else before we fought the last monster?)
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
(I assumed it was still in Haven, that's why my boat literally smashed through the skybox using big magic.)

(I think you're right, it seems that way from the posts I looked over. Sorry, just a bit of miscommunication )
I board onto the Road to Dawn and head up to the helm. I speak towards the Vault, pointing out into the space beyond Haven "Begin heading in that direction if you would." The gates floating around Haven move, clearing space for a lone gate positioned along the path I directed. "Don't worry about the size of the gate, just keep us aligned towards it and we will end up in Aeon's space."

"Rightto." The Vault says, grabbing the wheel and giving it a stiff spin toward the gate. It reaches above it's head and pulls down a speaking tube. Carefully, it says, "Calling Mr. Hidalgo to the bridge. Cervantes Hidalgo to the bridge immediately."
It replaces the tube back into it's ceiling recess. "We'll need him to steer the ship properly. I'm a novice."

I mused on a vague feeling of unease.
Shrugging, I prodded the device in my hand, then sighed. Violet fire reduced it to a bubbling hunk of molten metal. The fates are not to be tempted in such a fashion. Guess I'm Stuck Like This.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

As the ship nears the gate, the doors open by sliding into the gates frame. Space starts bending to stretch the space around us to fit through the opening. From our perspective, it appears as if we had just experienced a warp drive as space shoots past us and the frame of the gate travels around the radius of the ship. Haven's horizon is replaced with the starry sky of Aeon jumping into place as we slow down without feeling any change in speed. Behind us the gate closes and simply vanishes. In the distance is Aeon and its moon and sun all 1420 times larger than their earthen counterparts.

The Vault whistles. "No matter how many times I see something like this, it just-" It doesn't get to finish, as it is violently shoved out of the way by an alien.
Over 11 feet tall, blue, with a flat face and big black eyes. It's ears, if it has any, are blocked from view by the large tricorne hat that rest seep on it's pointed head. The admiralty coat resting on the shoulders of his first pair of arms, of which he he 2, flutters as he takes the wheel, reveling what look like laser cutlasses clipped to his belt. "What have I told you about your ship?" He monotones. "Don't ever touch the wheel of my ship." The Vault replies sulkily. "Only your allowed to touch the wheel of my ship." "Damn straight." he replies under his breath. The Vault stands up and tries to rub out the dust stains in it's soaking suit. "Cervantes Hidalgo," it says by way of introduction. "Famous explorer, best seaman to ever sail the stellar sea, captain of the Road to Dawn." "Pleasure." he says. "Sorry for not being here to greet you as the captain should, had a minor problem on the deck. Our heading is the that planet, correct? Do you have a preference as to where, or do I simply set her down on the first available plot?"
