New Beginning 21: Awesomeness Revisited

The horrors witnessed upon this day as the gremlins were decimated by legion upon legion of nightmarish creatures and were dragged screaming into the depths of chaos shall forever be engraved into this worlds history.

"Okay so where is zaleramancer?"

"There were.. familial concerns involved."

[Zaleramancer]

"You are remarkably efficient." The voice said in a subdued tone, "My guess is that he would be near the center of the library, in his personal office."

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Um...I won't even ask." I say at the vaguely intriguing response, "So. What's our business here?"

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Through the doorway they go. Before even looking at the room, she flips around. Some sort of wardrobe appears before her, which she opens and pushes up against the doorway.

"That should confuse them." she says, patting the side of it. "This doesn't lead to a good place. Now, where's my horse?" She looks over the room.

(If You're dissapointed I could drag it out into a three page long epic war of blood and death, would be interesting to write.)

"So, would you like for me to activate the portal?"

The room resembles an old-style library, with many shelves storing scrolls and books.

Haggenti takes up a large amount of the available space, a huge bull with golden wings. Before him is the six-legged horse, which he examines closely.

[Zaleramancer]

"Well, we-"

The air-and-fire face, which had been hovering in an abstract pattern, shifted into the face of a plump looking man with a derby.

This thing on?

 "It is. If you would be so kind as to proceed."

I wait patiently for an answer...

I chase after the light, struggling to keep up.

[Zaleramancer]

"Ben. It's good to see you."

C-Chairwoman Taika. How may I be of service?

"I need a status update and a guide."

The face shifted into a expanding polydimensional holographic map.

Currently, there are eighteen thousand seven hundred and forty three sections of the Library that have been sealed off. Multiple small battles are currently underway between what appears to be a horde of invading demons and the interior security. Most civilian personal has evacuated to the main atrium in the outer ring. Portal, Servant, Resurrection, Communications are down, as well as countless others.

Countless pings, symbols and lights danced across the map.

Is there anything in particular you wish to know?

It vanishes with a sound like sudden flatulence.

"Well, that was rude.....now where am I supposed to go?" I look around for some sign of a path.

[Zaleramancer]

Moggy, Soggy swamp stretches in every direction. The mud sucks at Marv's feet in an almost hungry fashion.

"That many, huh? Well, how exactly does one go about getting out of such a place? Seriously, I feel like I've been here forever..."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

it looked like a ordinary library. That meant nothing. She knew from experience that even normal libraries could contain items of great interest. This library, though, was of the hidden variety. Those usually had something good in them. She would peruse later, if she had the time. But, first things first.

"Slife. Slife, back here!"

The little horse turned it's head, danced in a little circle, and trotted over to it's keeper. The Demon form bent down to it's level, and started scratching it on the neck.

"Whosagoodhorsie? Whosagoodhorsie? You is! Yes you are my good horse."

She stood back up, and looked around the room. "Anybody see where the crow went?"

"Can you sort these pings by power level and filter out known SPL members. We are looking for a being or group that could hold up Zale."

(OH-EM-GEE!!! I just thought of the PERFECT thing to get folks' attention back on participating in New Beginning. I'll propose my idea as soon as this one is finished...)
