When I fix it I'll help. But before it wouldn't update, but I could play offline. This mod coding from a newer version prevented me from opening the inventory. I removed it, but now I realize it can't retrieve this line of code, so it can't update. I tried and fix that, but now it just shows a black screen. Coding is infuriating.

I have two minecraft backups and all my saves backed up, but even if I try to use the others, it still just shows a black screen.

It actually goes black as soon as I get on. Because it can't update, I can't log in, but as soon as I choose,"play offline", it just goes black. I can't even choose to get on a save.

Really? The only way I found that works for Mac involves changing around the coding in Minecraft, and a few other things.
