Open beta for game lab was this week and my team need people to play our game and send us feedback on how to improve it.

It is a lot more buggy that it should be at this stage I think so if anyone gets stuck I can use white text to post hints.

Couple of notes...just of the my first three attempts. I'll try to include these when I do the feedback.

The action keys don't seem to always work and sometimes require multiple strikes to use the associated actions.

There seems to be no way to avoid damage in battle and no way to heal yourself its just a countdown to death.

Its possible to get stuck on the brown floor after lowering it with the three buttons. Once stuck its near impossible to leave the floor's confines. After some finagling I managed to free myself.

Also, what is up with the chicken leg?

The way the programming team explained it is that since they have so many triggers overlapping that the buttons do not always respond correctly so things like vents and picking up body parts is very finicky at the moment. Its something that should have been fixed by now but we are working on it.

We were planning on having a resistance system put in place but we ran out of time on implementing it.

Were you only a head when you tried this?

Its a specialty limp so that the demo shows off the possibility of picking up limbs besides the standard ones. It used to have more function but it had to be cut down some in favor of more important issues. Mostly its just a running gag in the game.

Some things we are aware of but make sure to include as much as you can in the feedback since it will help us see which issues got the player's attention most and be as detailed as you can with things like the bridge error.

Would it be beneficial to create a New User section above the News & Announcements section?

We could move the Welcome Newcomers!  and Guide to your local admins and moderators. threads there as well as create some new ones to better integrate new people such as a How to Join an RP thread.

Put helpful links, describe each section of the forum, have a QA or Rule thread, etc.

I support this idea.

We could, for one thing, establish a thread for description of New Beginning characters as well as highlighting a rough outline of events in various RP's.

The only alteration I'd propose is to have it underneath the News and Announcements sections, but that's just my opinion and far less important.
