"For many years.... in fact, they were really there from the beginning of this village, but have gotten worse in recent years. In the beginning they were minor nuisances. Occurring every once and awhile. But A few Years ago, right about the time I became mayor, they suddenly became the persistent trouble they are today. "

"Hmm. So, maybe something with this place, no? Bad Terra Magicae, maybe." She tilted her head slightly, "Maybe I check?"

The woman walked away from him, wandering around the room, muttering to herself.

The Mayor watched her with suspicious eyes. He still did not trust these visitors, but at least with them here he could keep an eye on them.

A pair of Gilgamesh's golden Divine Servitors turn the corner into the hall the Durhian was creeping in and give chase to apprehend her. Gilgamesh had taken steps to insure that the heroes would not be interfered with so as to not disrupt the tournament.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

The female did not run so much as she cowered in the opposite direction. This was her trained reaction from living so long in Dermalk. She did not resist.

The Servitors did not react, they only carried out the duty that had been ordered upon them. They lifted up the girl and transferred her to an unoccupied room to be interrogated. She was left alone as the Servitors waited outside and after an unknown amount of time, Thorn walked into the room to speak to her.

"You can call me Thorn" the Shifter replied. "I am one of the heroes serving under the Spirit who made this tournament, and I would like to know why you're sneaking around in areas you're not allowed."

"I was looking for help" she whimpers, "My town has lived in fear for so long. I just wanted to find a hero to save us. Our own land's hero has disseminated and I thought....I thought I could find one here."

She was practically on the verge of tears.

Thorn was ready to inform the woman of the tournament ground's rule and send her on her way when Gilgamesh's thoughts broke into his head. "If what she is saying is true, then this is the perfect situation for a hero's involvement" Gilgamesh spoke "You are dismissed to go to her village, but keep the girl here."

His attention shifted back to the girl. "I will agree to travel to your town and deal with the trouble there, but you must remain here in case you are only deceiving me."

Eventually, the woman stopped and merely sat, legs crossed.

Her eyes closed and she slept.

The club collided with his forearms. Well, that had certainly been invent-

Oh lords, she was going for the axe.

The Watchman hefted the war hammer and hastily went to work on the hands binding his legs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They were asleep, the women. The watcher was actually quite relieved that the strange woman had appeared. If he had had a heart, it would have skipped a beat when the old man had mentioned another presence in the room.

And now they were sleeping, most likely dreaming, investigating in a way that it certainly was not able.

It would keep up it's observation of them.

Acacia ran through the forest of pines, barefoot over roots and needles. Why exactly was she running again? It didn't matter, not now. All she needed to do was get away from that, that, that Thing! Yes, that was it! She just needed to keep running.

---------------------------------------

A few minutes after seeing Aox's admission form and accepting it:

Magnas walked down the hall, barely keeping herself from skipping. Aox was the first hero to visit the academy and he'd chosen her Metal Magic course as his class to take! Oh, her sisters were never going to hear the end of this! She walked into her office and finalized the paperwork for Aox's admission, before sitting back and contemplating the walls for a little bit. It wasn't long before Magnas sat back up and walked out of her office. She'd go visit Sora and see what he'd made today, if he'd accepted anything he'd forged today as so much as decent.

Gaining the attention of the other villagers did not take long; they had just finished cleaning up some of the mess that the Dragonborn had left behind, or gone to recover the things the Dragonborn had stolen from them, with only the water supplies left to be taken care of. When Draias assured them that what he had to say would be far more worthwhile in the long-run, they were more than willing to leave their newly-imposed chores.

When he began to call for others' attention, there were few more than fifty Boquabians coming to hear what the investigator had to say. But by the time he had returned to the front steps of the main temple, and set up his stand to speak, his following was growing substantially; they flocked from their homes in droves to hear him.

Kotu was livid, but dared not rebut just yet. He would give the five the chance to make fools of themselves first.

With that, Draias looked out to the crowd, and began.

He spoke to his fellow villagers with the heaviest heart as he relayed the message of his comrades' death in the woods. But from then he grew sterner, bolder, much more passionate. It seemed his heart was overflowing with such stronger emotion now, that his words were coming out of their own accord.

He spoke of their endeavor after the monstrous Dragonborn; their fear in the woods; their encounter with the Dragonborn at the cave; the elves' sudden arrival to rescue them; the sudden appearance of yet more divine ones, and the beast Itself, and finally when the Veteran's forces came and rescued the lot of them. But not before three precious lives were taken, he added, and all the villagers mourned again.

It was at this point that Fandas tapped Draias on the shoulder; he had something to say. He spoke of their dreadful slog back to the town, accompanied by the Vandal that stood with them, and a band of more like her. They would have buried their dead like normal, when there beckoned to them a divine voice from the main temple of Uburra-Namall, where the Elders are said to commune with the gods.

There, they experienced a strange and overwhelming ecstasy like none other. It was all love and beauty and inspiration, tingling from the tops of their heads to the soles of their feet. It was the essence of music and art and philosophy, profound and heartbreakingly simple at the same time. It was a taste of the peace and perfection of divinity. And the spirits of their fallen comrades were taken up into it.

The crowd gasped, and Linessa knew that she must speak up as well. This was the crucial part in their enlightenment. It was at this time when they received vital knowledge from the divine ones themselves. The Elders of their tribe had deceived them all. From the very beginnings of this tribe, it was established that sacrifices were to be paid to the Elders, because only they were said to be able to commune with the gods. But the divine ones had themselves told her otherwise. The gods would speak to any of them who beckoned; they loved the Boquabians equally, and desired all of the Boquabians to JOIN them in a second life, far more glorious than this life.

Kotu stopped Linessa at that point; that was certainly enough. Now it was HIS turn to talk.
