Wen Mai: "Hello, Mr. Tomes, Mileena, Torbin and Madame A. Gant. I'm the Kata, Wen Mai."

Inside, question bubbled up inside of him. Questions like Why would you create a species with no eyes? He left these unvoiced. After all, a question like that would be touchy. He supposed he could ask later, if he found some way to endear himself to them."

"You know, if you need the match interpreted, Pessimal is quite good with words." Mileena said, almost as though she knew what he was thinking.

Wen Mai: "No need. The Light-Scarred should be able to give a good account of the fights. They do afterall have the power to control light which is the basis of vision. Forgive me for saying this, but I can feel that you're leaving a question unasked. Feel free to ask it."

"You have amazing intuition. Well, I was just wondering; I've met blind people before, usually Durhians who lost their sight to industrial accidents, and the loss always has a negative impact on their lives. With that in mind, I don't understand why a god would create a race without the ability to see."

Wen Mai:  "Negative impact? I don't understand how not having sight is bad but then I wasn't made with sight in the first place. The way I think of this is that I actually have advantages over you. For example when making say a business deal with someone, there is no chance of me being distracted by how good they look or in combat, we can't be blinded for a few seconds by a flash of light and can continue fighting normally. There are probably more advantages, but I can't think of any. Lady Mina probably creaated us with these thoughts in mind."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Aox swaggered across Spectropolis, brimming with overconfidence from his last match. He high-fived nearly every person he passed with a ridiculous grin and an overly excited attitude. He felt like he was on top of the world. The fact that his next match would probably end his confidence did not occur to him.

With his new weapons and "skill" we was going to make Crav proud.

Lily and Kyouko concentrated yet again on two Miracles (-0motes, Inherent for both). The first gave the fangs of the Succubi and Incubi of medium or higher power the ability to increase the strength of weapons they were forged into and even possibly give the weapons powers. The second gave the Zombies of medium or higher power to channel electricity that hit them straight into the ground to reduce any damage that would occur.

Mina and Suna concentrated on yet another pair of Miracles (-0 motes, Inherent for both). These two would both affect the Kata. The first gave Kata of medium or higher power the ability to control lightning and electricity and the second allowed strong Kata to control magnetism at a minor level.

Rhogar flew up to Gilgamesh's booth, carrying a bundle, and retracted his wings into his body as he landed. Tirion landed his hippogriff shortly after dropping off the package he had retrieved from Crav's land before Gilgamesh.

The two heroes unpacked the finished weapons that Crav's craftsmen had tirelessly created and laid them out for inspection. Gilgamesh was currently focused on the match, but he could see the fight through his Avatar's eyes as he infused the artifacts with power (-48 motes, Create Artifact x8). They would be distributed out as their respective heroes required them.

The artifacts created for the heroes would be named: The Staff of the Cosmos, a metal staff with a crescent moon at the tip holding a clear gem.

The Claws of the Hidden Flame, a pair of metal claws designed like flames.

The Spectral Slayer, a great sword made from a substance with an appearance similar to glass.

The Tempest Orb, a sphere with many channels inside it to contain and focus a tempest of the elements.

The Hercules Bands, two heavy metal bands with runes affixed to their sides.

The Scabbard of Many Blades, an empty scabbard from which many enchanted blades could be drawn.

The Spell Scales, a set of magical plates that could be affixed to a person's body to increase their powers.

The Storm Matrix, a club created from many mechanical parts held together by both magnetism and magic.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Uburra-Namall watched from afar with her Telescope, and marveled at the newly made artifacts. They certainly seemed powerful, and they made her wonder when the heck Khadai would return with her daughters. She was anxious to see what all the girls come up with.

She wanted to establish HER nation as powerful, too.

As Sora returned to his forge to do a little work, he noticed that Kira had started a stake-out of his forge to find Mizuna and Koneko. Entering it, he found Koneko already there, "So, Koneko, come to learn the art of smithing from me today?"

Koneko: "I'm sorry Sora, but no. Kira's bought new clothes again and I came in here to hide...yet again."

Sora: "Don't worry. I'll stick up for you and you'll stick up for me, right? After all, us and Mizuna are the three heroes created after the tournament for heroes began, so we should stick up for each other, ok?"

Koneko: "Ok, Sora. What are you working on right now?"

Sora picks up a pair of metal slabs pounded out to look like unfinished gauntlets, "I thought I'd make something to help boost your power in case you ever entered battle, but so far it's not going well. It feels like I'm missing something..."

Koneko: "I wonder what it could be? You're our best smith. You'll figure it out eventually."

Sora: "I hope so, Koneko. I hope so."

The hissing flames struck the air.. then died. Something about the winds seemed to be killing them.

Pike advanced for Emere.

It was time for Emere to make his retreat, the giant before him was growing ever closer and Emere needed time to strike back. Gathering the void flames around himself, he became the void for just a moment before reappearing at the opposite arena wall. This skill was as dangerous as it was beneficial to use, and taxing as well, Emere would be unable to use it again without preparation.

As he reappeared into the world, Emere immediately began collecting flames around himself through dance like motions, growing the flames darker as he built them up. When he was finished, he thrust both his fists forwards and his orb reacted. A star shaped bolt of void flames arced across the arena towards Pike.

Mina breathed out slowly. It was time to create the last of the races she had planned for now, the Homura. In front of her and Illusia and Suna formed human-looking beings with bright-red hair and eyes (-6 motes, Create Race). These would be the Homura, the opposites and complements to the Yukionna and Yukiotoko. As a gift, Mina cast a Miracle on them, as did Illusia (-0 motes, Inherent for both). The first gave the strong Homura the power to control their body's temperature and the second gave the Homura the power to absorb ice and water for energy.

Lily and Kyouko concentrated and cast their last two Miracles for now (-0 motes, Inherent for both). The first gave the imps of medium or higher power levels the ability to see spells as designs and negate the spells by cutting those designs. The second gave Imps of medium or higher power level a high affinity for support magic.

Sora pulled out the cooling metal from the furnace. It wasn't quite right. The form he wanted it to take on didn't quite seem to fit it and he put it to the side. He picked up another piece and started working on it. Hopefully, this one would work better...

Isabelle LaNuit wandered around. She considered going to the Odas' dwelling, but Rubi wasn't there. She should have requested to go with the entourage sent by Lady Mina. It was so bo～oring without Rubi around and the Halves weren't generally as liked by other kids as pures were and Isabelle was a Werepyre. She needed something fun to do... or maybe it would be a good idea to visit her uncle, Sora, and see what he was up to. He'd always been willing to teach her whatever she wanted to learn that he could teach and his forge always had something that she could hit with a hammer...

Mina looked at the Homura and chose two of them who looked to be twins, Jigoku and Hiko, and she raised both of them as heroes (-1 mote, 1 Inherent Hero and 1 non-Inherent). She then let the Homura go to the arena. There wasn't any reason to keep them in the area.

Tachibana Miki wondered what the others were doing. Sure, Rubi was at Spectropolis and probably enjoying the sights, but what did that leave her doing? All the losers who had made fun of them for being halves when they were younger didn't anymore due to some 'physical negotiations' on Miki's part. It had been amusing to break their jaws and tell them to call her a weakling again, but it meant that she no longer got anymore fights because all the younger and older kids were scared of her except for Rubi and Isabelle. Wait. That was a thought... She should find Isabelle and have a quick fight. Now, where would Isabelle be? Probably at her uncle's forge, it was Isabelle's favorite place.

Isabelle started to enter Sora's forge. It was slightly warmer than normal which meant that her uncle was making something... or trying to make something. At which point, Miki ran up to her, "Hey, Isabelle! Wanna have a quick fight? I'm bored without Rubi here."

Isa: "You're bored? That's amazing. Aren't there guys around whom you could get a fight from?"

Miki: "No, all of them are too scared to fight me or working on training themselves. Come on, I want a fight!"

Isa: "Fine. I was hoping to hit something as well. Don't cry when I beat you though."

Miki: "Oh, yeah? I'll make you choke on those words of yours!"

Isabelle leapt at Miki as Miki gathered some shadows between the two as a shield. Isabelle extended her hair around the shadows to grab onto Miki, but by then Miki had slipped into the shadows behind Isabelle. Miki formed a sword from the shadows, but had to leap back as she almost was skewered on Isabelle's bone blades. The two both shifted into their wolven forms, Isabelle's as usual being larger and stronger than Miki's. Miki leapt at Isabelle, only to end up coming to a screeching halt as Isabelle turned into several blood bats and reappeared behind Miki, this time though not as a full wolf, but in her hybrid human-wolf form and attacked with her hair yet again. Miki fell to the ground, shifting back to her normal elven form to escape the hair, but was firmly held in the grip of Isabelle's hair. Isabele grinned, "Do you yield Miki, or can I squeeze harder?"

Miki: "You win, ... again. Tsk, I would have thought that, what with all of the abilities given to Lady Mina's races the past few hours that it would be harder to lose now."

Isa: "You forget that we're both part of Lady Mina's races and we share one race so anything that boosts one of us in that race, will boost both of us. Why don't we go see what my uncle's doing?"

Miki: "Ok. Maybe he'll have newer, yummier foods than last time."

The two walk into the forge.

Mina and Illusia cast yet another pair of Miracles (-0 motes, Inherent for both). The Miracles gave the Homura of medium and higher power the ability to take on a form of pure flames as well as have wings of flame
adjustable in size and unique in look. Suna next cast a Smite (-0 motes, Inherent). The Smite caused the Vampires of the lowest power levels to have 4 racial weaknesses: those of the higher levels, wooden stakes, and holy items.

Lily and Kyouko watched as Lady Mina's races worked on the Core Temple. It was coming together fast with all the knowledge that had poured into Lady Mina's lands after trade relations had been established with Bluebell. The two of them would always enjoy protecting those whose races were created by Lady Mina, but... What if they weren't always around? This had to be given thought. A group had to be established for mortal defense against other mortals and possibly gods, but who would be in it and what would it be called?

The wind scattered the flames, barely. The effort caused it to drop to a mere breeze.

Pike began to charge once again, becoming larger and more fish-like as he did.
