Kagehana slips through the shadows to where Nayotake and Taro are and is healed by several tanuki. She had won, but there was more to come. She needed to prepare herself for her match against Aox while also observing all the other battles....

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Jassi found being mortal most disheartening. So many sinners in her midst, she just wished she could cry out, "BE GOOD! WE'RE WATCHING YOU!!!". There were folks stealing this, and cheating for that; designing games to win money, or engaging in other petty trouble. She tried her best to blend in, assuring herself this would all be over before she knew it.

Jissei, on the other hand, walked beside his sister with an insidious grin on his face. These mortals...oh, how they begged so desperately to be punished by him. Plague, age, decay...He couldn't wait to see all of them fall. And those that accepted him and Khadai wholeheartedly? They would only accelerate his purpose. How he loved the irony. It was delicious...

And Uburra-Namall seemed to be enjoying her mingling among the mortals a bit too much. To make it all the better, she had left the twins to their own devices, to go off on her own, so they would not cramp her style. How she delighted in the mortals' folly. It was simply wonderful how they did things, and they made her proud, despite the numerous faults that came with not being divine.

The men desired her, like Desra promised, even in her mortal guise. The women were sick with envy, courtesy Indiva. The food was delicious, made from the spoils of the land. Even the occasional fights (spontaneous and arranged) were entertaining. Not to mention, the statues and temples dedicated to she and her twin siblings filled her with great pride.

However, the work of one of Uburra-Namall's daughters was not very pleasing to the senses of the goddess-turned-mortal.

"AIIIIEEEE!!!" Came a menacing cry from further up in the village, "SOMEBODY'S BEEN LOOTING MY SHOP!"

A shop owner burst out into the street, and grabbed the first scrawny runt he could catch. The young Boquabian struggled to get away from the shop owner, and his mother confronted the man with a fist cocked back. As the two menaced inches away from each others' faces, a second and third shop owner burst out of their stores, saying that, they, too had been robbed.

Uburra-Namall watched the whole confusion, somewhat worried, as they (and more) each puzzled over who could have been responsible for the missing merchandise. Until the stuff had been accounted for, goods wood simply go up in price to compensate.

Meanwhile, Prasim, Khadai's Handmaiden of Greed, strode about the town, invisible. She and Nasta high-fived at the discord they had caused; Lady Khadai and Lord Jissei would be so pleased with them. And when they had seen enough, they came out from hiding behind a shed on the outermost edge of town, leaped up onto the roof, and took off, to see what other mischief they could lead their draconic new visitors to.

Bahamut rose and stretched out his wings, he had work to do before the next match. Rising from the arena, he soared through the air till he landed in a clearing on Gilgamesh's continent.

Having an origin as a mythical creature, Gilgamesh had given him the task of making sure more mythical creatures would thrive in their lands. Treants, Warp Stalkers, Minotaurs, Changelings, Goblins. Each would be created in time. For now, the seed would be planted that would allow them to come into being. Bahamut would return as many times as necessary to bring them into being, until they were numerous enough to prosper on their own.

At the tournament, where Gilgamesh's heroes rested, Thorn's eyes snapped open.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

The people streamed from the arena, slightly anxious from the days events.Some contemplated leaving early, but these were drowned out by those that had loved the excitement, and anyway you couldn't catch a boat first thing in the morning and there was promise of another match. So, the throng filed through the city, to their room or dinner, or drinking with newly made friends. Their would be singing, and money would change hands, and some unsanctioned fights between Durhian and Dragonborn over Rhogar being "robbed."

And in the arena a man was waking up to a voice, "Mr. Aox? Mr. Aooooox?" Aox regained conscientiousness to see the face of one of his countrymen, expectant look on his face. "Hello, Mr. Aox! Pessimal Tomes of the Daily, would you feel up for an interview?"

Magnas walked over to where Gilgamesh was. She had a message to give to him that he would definitely want to hear now that there was a break.

Magnas: "May I speak quickly with you, Gilgamesh?"

Yojimbo was confused, something was going on. He would wait and follow after the band of outlaws a little longer, the sentinels would contact him if anything important happened.

Balasar was an expert at what he did. He had successfully led his band on their first raid in the new land and the locals were none the wiser that they even existed. Their next target was a town at least three times the distance away, Balasar knew better than to let their actions become predictable. Whatever loot that was not directly useful to his group would be sold off at the nearest trading outpost, most likely on Gilgamesh's continent. The extra trouble would be worth the income.

Balasar wanted more than to obtain riches, he wanted to become a legend. During the next raid he would leave his insignia to let the locals know that a presence haunted their lands.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

A day had passed, and Uburra-Namall met up with the twins in the town square. Nothing could be found to evidence who was responsible for this mischief, and the Dragonborn seemed nowhere to be found. And frankly, they didn't want to have all the fun there was to be had there, all at once. So Jissei suggested they would likely have better luck in the next town.

And on the way, Jassi added, they would remain in their divine forms until necessary to abase themselves again.

Gilgamesh had been on his way to inspect his heroes. For the most part, Gilgamesh had not sought information on the other heroes so that the fights could come as a surprise to him, but his own heroes he would inspect carefully on their current condition. On his way through the arena, a being stopped to ask a question of him.

"Who may you be?" Gilgamesh responded.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Magnas: "I am Magnas, Goddess of Lightning and Metal. My mistress is Lady Mina and I have to tell you something important about the next match."

[Philote]

Balasar would be stretching his men's ability to their limits carrying out two raids in such a short time, but if they could pull it off, their legend would be born as each town tried to discover how their were simultaneously looted. The group set out immediately, and Yojimbo followed behind as their guardian.

As they traveled, the presence of and Over-Spirit became present to Yojimbo yet again as Uburra-Namall took off her mortal disguise. "You're not slipping away again" Yojimbo thought to himself "I would like to have a meeting."  The living armor that was Yojimbo flew through the sky trying to catch his target.

[Philote]

"Ah, you represent one of the heroes in the next match just as I do. I trust you have something to say other than a bribe for the outcome I hope."

Gilgamesh motions for the Spirit to follow. He would not take Magnas into his hero's area, but at least he could walk the rest of the way to the entrance.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Magnas: "A bribe? How quaint. There is not much we gods need, thus bribes of money should not have any effect on us, but waving that aside, Taro's match must be at nighttime, otherwise he will die if he has to be in the sunlight. Not even fighting mind you, just being in the sunlight will kill him."

[Philote]

"There are other ways to perform Bribes, or Threats, if a person is desperate enough for a win. I am glad that you have come to me for a different reason though, even if it is rather unfortunate. All the spectators have already left, but there is nothing we can do about it now. I'll retrieve Thorn and we can have the match, the others can be informed of the outcome tomorrow."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Magnas: "I will go and have Taro enter the arena for his match then. Thank you very much."

Magnas walks off, finds Taro, and shortly thereafter he enters the arena yawning.

Gilgamesh finds Thorn already awake and informs him of the situation. Gilgamesh was not worried about Thorn's ability to fight at night, Thorn's predatory senses were already adapted for night time vision. After waiting for Thorn to be geared up by a Divine Servitor, including a pair of claw like weapons, the two head out into the arena.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Torbin was upset. He was dead tired, hungry, bored, and the damn birds kept cooing at him. So he sat and tinkered with his Iconograph, at least until he heard Mileena

"Something is happening."

"What, again?" he said, not looking up.

"Looks like a match."

His head poked up. "What, now? Right now? Damn!" he set his bag on the ground and began digging through it, searching for his flash. Couldn't catch the finishing blow without that, not in the dark. He just hoped that the picture quality wouldn't be affected to badly by the damn fog.

Mileena, meanwhile, had turned the pigeon roost to face the arena. They enjoyed the fighting.

Taro notices the two enter the arena, "Greetings, so then you are my opponent, Thorn?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Ah.....um...I suppose so?" Aox looks around, "Um...Where am I?"

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"You're in the waiting room. You passed out after you won, you remember? Don't worry, we can begin once you get your bearings."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Ugh, I feel sore all over.....wait, yeah its coming back to me. I won the match then passed out. Gah, I must have looked like an idiot passing out." Aox stops for a second then looks at Pessimal, "Sorry, you said something about an interview?"
