The reason you lose three points is because the Magatama creates a barrier. It doesn't actually harm you. The Cross's effect isn't going to affect the Magatama's effect at all.

You said two, and if that's the case the chaos gauntlet should be able to pass through the barrier anyway, or the order guantlet should be able to nullify it. Which would drop me down back down to 17 whch means Í'll be creating the Darkness syphon, name pending change, sooner than I expected which would launche me up to twenty. leaving me with 5 points which I'll use four of to create a race.

Actually, her barriers cancel out your artifact effects. Becasue it is a barrier...

Zale redid the combat rules, and the barrier can withstand divine power so even your gauntlets will have trouble getting through it.

Fair enough, but it's a one way barrier then? Things can get out but not in? and what is size of said barrier, to the skin or does it expand to a few feet?

I never specified the size, but it's as big as it needs to be. Those on the side of the wielder can enter as needed. It's one of Mina's 3 Sacred Treasures and she left it with Lily and Kyouko for defensive purposes.

Honestly I have no idea what the rules are in this thing, if worst comes to worst I could just give one of the items to Dephos, or count them as being equiped to her anyway.

I'm pretty sure you can't equip a sword with another weapon....it doesn't make much sense.

And dephos has a humanoid form as well anyway so the items have to go somewhere when she turns into a sword.
