"I've received reports that she's fine, at least physically. She seems to have lost her memory, however, and is still recovering. I thought it best not to jog her memory. The stress of learning that she's a God could potentially make her recovery take longer. Don't worry, I have agents watching her."

The Watchman noted that, though the watchdog had returned, it was now curled up at Hazet's feet.

[Zaleramancer]

I wish her a speedy recovery. For the sake of the seas, if nothing else.

"I do however give permission for gods of any level to come into my territory, if and only IF, they need to be evacuated for some reason such as war and their side will lose no matter what. As races of any kind can enter without being restricted my land can be used as a safe haven in times of need though it does have its limits as well in terms of resources."

[Mik_Hael]

"I see, and are these god's allowed to bring their races and artifacts, or are they required to leave those behind in order to under your eye?"

[Zaleramancer]

The goddess descended upon the city like a crow unto a corpse. As she landed near where she knew the meeting was, her form shifted.

She returned to an old favorite of hers, a modification of her normal form. A short and elderly crone dressed in black and grey. Unlike the more normal hag form, this one was exactly as threatening as an aggressive daisy, without any of the sharp teeth or talon-like claws.

With a humph, Zaya began to proceed forward into the meeting room, affecting the manner of an arthritic and senile elder.

"I didn't miss anything, did I dearies?"

Across the room, Hazet jerked upright.

You!

Zaya squinted towards him, "Is that you, Nephew?"

No. You. You.. Treacherous old bat!

"What was that?" The crone said as she shuffled towards the nearest chair, near Mina. "Let me find my candies for you, I brought some just in case."

[Mik_Hael]

...blink "As interesting, as an exchange between family members can be given enough time, I think we should get down to business. I would like to form, an alliance of sorts, between all of you...in the case that something were to ever threaten the existence of this world as a whole."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Welcome Zaya, I've actually been meaning to speak with you about something Hazet said. Something about her being right? And you can drop the act, only people who don't know you're a god would fall for that harmless old lady schtick."

[Zaleramancer]

I am not related to the devious shrew.

Zaya slides a bowl of brightly colored candies to the center of the table.

"My Nephew gets grouchy without his sugar." She said, popping one of the candies in her mouth and gumming on it.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Artifacts and Divine Artifacts will be left with my Shadow-Scarred so that they can be transported to the Shadowscape for safe storage. The only ones who can access the Shadowscape are me and my Shadow-Scarred. The Shadow-Scarred who stores the artifacts away will accompany the one who the artifact belongs to until they leave or the artifact is needed for battle. As for races, well, they can come and go as they wish."

"Permanent alliances aren't good for anyone. I decline."

[Zaleramancer]

"What was that?" Zaya peered at the Watchman as if lost.

"Have we met, young man?"

Hazet glowered silently.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

Crav watched the proceedings silently. It wasn't something he was about to get involved in.

[Zaleramancer]

The God snatched his attention away from Zaya to speak.

That sounds like an excellent way to gather power. The gods would be at their weakest and you would hold the items that resonate with their power.

Hazet, already on edge due to Zaya, decided to watch this Mina carefully.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"I'm sure he means only for some outside threat. Listen, if you weren't born with this world then you know what sort of things live in the long dark between. We aren't the scariest things in there."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Indeed, there are some horrors that are best left forgotten."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Hazet, did the old women say anything to you before I showed up?"

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Of course there are worse things out there than me. There is always something worse. I still have to keep my people as safe as possible though and I am being nice by allowing my territory to be used as a safe haven. But we do need to have plans just in case something... unexpectedly bad occurs."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"How about this: If something from out there comes calling, we stop any petty conflicts we have with one another, and anything is petty compared to those abominations, join together, determine if it's hostile, and if it is put the boot to it's...whatever they have?"

[Zaleramancer]

She came to my city as a soothsayer and beguiled my court with predictions and rumors. They saw no reason to deny her an audience with me.

Her words, her prediction were thus..

In times ahead, there shall be a day when papers rain from the sky.
It is these papers which will begin the events that you will regret.
They will cause your children to leave you.
And you will be left.
Left alone on your hollow throne.

And she was right.

Hazet said, sad regrets playing across his face.
