Mina was bored. She watched her demons and youkai run around doing her bidding decided to create yet another race. She concentrated and from the ground rose elf-like beings with pitch black skin (-3 motes). This would be her Shadow-Scarred race, the ones who would be spies in the shadows and rule the night, at the very least in her territory. Maybe not in other gods' territories, but definitely hers. Next she blessed the Shadow-Scarred with the power to control the shadows themselves and the power to travel instantaneously through shadows (-4 for 2 miracles). From them she then raised her first dark hero, Kagehana, the Shadow's Flower, who would aid heroes only if it directly benefited Mina and/or Kagehana (-1 for raising hero).

Mina whispered to her newest race, "Scatter around this world and gather for me information. Kagehana though, I would like to stay by me."

The Shadow-Scarred slipped through the shadows to follow their creator's bidding...

Mina listened to reports from some of her Shadow-Scarred, Yukionna, and Yukiotoko that Gilgamesh had shut out all outsiders other than Crav's creations. Gesturing to Kagehana to come to her, Mina said, "Kagehana."

Kagehana comes forward, "Yes, Mistress?"

Mina, "I want you to go to Gilgamesh and ask him for permission to have the Shadow-Scarred, Yukionna, and Yukiotoko to travel and live on his territoy. Understand that if you succeed, you will be rewarded. If you fail, I will be displeased."

Kagehana nods in comprehension of Mina's words then slips into the shadows appearing on Gilgamesh's island. She finds a Dragonborn and tells him, "I wish to talk to your master, Gilgamesh. I come from my mistress, the Goddess Mina, with a request."

Upon revealing herself to the inhabitants of the island, three Divine Servitors make their way to Kagehana to escort her out. The ghostly warriors carry out their instructions and bar her path, leading her out to the edge of the territory, oblivious to any attempts she may make in protest.

As this is happening, a large shadow covers the land around Kagehana. Shortly after, Bahamut lands on the edge of my territory next to her, and with a glance sends the ghostly spirits to other duties.

Looking at Kagehana, the great dragon speaks. "I'm afraid Gilgamesh is not open to the idea of visitors at the moment, but I will ask: What happens to be your business here?"

Kagehana: "I have a request from my mistress, the goddess Mina, to your god, Gilgamesh."

[Philote]

"Then you can speak it to me. You have a strange smell about you that Gilgamesh would not take a liking to. You have the signs of a hero about you, but they feel tainted."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana: "My mistress has heard that your god is not allowing outsiders into his lands. This is correct, right?"

[Philote]

"Yes. One can not have a strong nation if any rival is free to travel the lands."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana: "Hmph. Well, my mistress requests that her Shadow-Scarred, Yukionna, and Yukiotoko be allowed to traverse this land freely. Would we be able to reach an agreement on that?"

[Philote]

"What reason do they have for needing to come here? Trading? Learning? If your reason is good and you can prove the heroic side of your nature, I may be able to create an exception to the closed border."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana: "Those of my race, the Shadow-Scarred, are information gatherers and traders. As for the Yukionna and Yukiotoko, they need to have icy and snowy areas to live and breed at. Thus they need to check every spot with snow or ice to see whether or not it would be a good spot to establish a village and there's only so many of those spots."

[Philote]

"I'm afraid we lack a snowy terrain, but a trading station could be established on the edge of our border if you're willing to complete a task."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana: "The mistress will be disappointed on the snow part, but the trading post will work. Now, what is this task you have?"

[Philote]

"Some dragons are magnificent creatures, others are feral beasts. It all depends on how they control the draconic spirit. You will go on a quest to best one of the feral dragons. A red dragon to the east with gold horns. You may travel the land, but remember, you will be watched."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana chuckles, "The land to the east, you say? Hmmmmm. Should be easy enough to do a few hops."

Kagehana walks over to a shadow and jumps into it before reappearing elsewhere and making several more jumps to gather information on the dragon's location before actually reaching it's den. Kagehana sneaks towards the den and conceals herself within the shadows to wait.

The dragon circles in the air, still out hunting for the day.

As Kagehaha waits, a figure enters the territory. "So what do we have here."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana stays silent, waiting.

[Philote]

"I'm afraid you won't be able to hide so good from me. I am Yojimbo, and I saw you're interaction with my brother."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana releases the shadows back to their original areas and replies, "I see, so then you know what my purpose is here. What do you wish to say to me?"

[Philote]

"I'll make this quick, I'm not as helpful as my brother. You're going to promise me a favor in the future, or this quest is going to get a lot harder for you."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Kagehana thinks for a few seconds, then responds, "And why would you want a favor from li'l me? I'm merely a hero, not a god or goddess."
