My point is, I shouldn't have to take notes....When you read a book, do you take notes to remember what happened? I should think not. Characters should stand out on their own.

To be honest...I have no idea who either of those people are. This is part of what I was saying before....to many characters, not enough development.

Try focusing on a single character at a time and really go in depth with what they are thinking and how they act. Cause if you don't give them some interesting trait, they will fade from memory,

Sora's the blacksmith Lycanthrope hero that I made and Koneko's the Imp hero. The two of them are intertwined in terms of that they consider each other to be comrades and are really close.

I take notes for the reason that if I don't then someone will quiz me on the least memorable characters every time, and I won't remember, so I take notes. My friends love the characters who are the least memorable, the minor characters.

My point is that most people do not have to take notes on a well written story because the characters stand out by themselves.

Key words: "Well-written." i am not a good writer and I am trying to use this to improve my skills, but all you do is complain it's not well-written. Tell me the exact details of how it's not well-written and I will try to improve.

I am telling you, you need to give more attention to character development. Focus on individual characters at a time and define them. Their fears, their likes, their personality, their connections, their appearance. Make them unique and memorable, or they won;t be remembered. Try giving them a unique trait that sets them apart from others. The best traits are usually weakness.

Take Crav for example....he would normally be a generic crafting god without much to go on for his character. But I bet anyone remembers that he is a drunk. Because I've focused on how (and what) he drinks and acts when drunk.

Or Aox, while he has no discernible talents other than tinkering and inventing. You probably remember how much he is at odds with himself. First he's shy, then he's brave, then he goes back to being fearful, then back to being confident.

Aox's weapons/tools:

Hose and Pump (one for flammable liquids, one for mud, two for chemical reactions)
Wrench (overlarge and made of metal, good for bashing)
Explosive clay pots (Flash bombs, smoke bombs and fire bombs)
Crossbow Arm Attachment ( fire normal arrows and grappling hooks)
Razor Disk Launcher (highly susceptible to jamming, but effective otherwise)
Sling Shot and Small Explosives (For accurate detonations)
Small Knife (for close range cutting)
Spring Heeled Boots (for those quick getaways)
Caltrops (good for keeping people off the ground)
(others I have yet to think of...)

Also, never forget that body language and expression is important. Examine the difference between..

She slouched defiantly in the chair, arms crossed, and glared furiously at the others.

Kagehana yes, but only cause I;m fighting her....the others are a mystery to me.
