There's a reason I set it to a mote every other day.

Originally in this game, it was supposed to be a mote a week, so don't press your luck.

Planes are useful for... Personal Places, Transportation and Storage.

I guess removing the mote storage would work, but I don't see why..

Religious Orders are being reworked so that they only supply limited motes, and mostly act as loyal cohorts.

I don't see any reason to remove the mote upkeep for Artifacts. The alternative is to have a hard limit on the number you can carry, which seems a trifle arbitrary. I see logic for reducing the upkeep, though.

Miracles may be reduced for Artifacts.

I accept the domain changes though.
Originally for me it was a mote every day

And I think that is the system everybody is used to. Heck, half the time people didn't even pay attention to when they were supposed to be getting motes and just showed up and said "I guess I have full motes I'll just use them all".

Planes are very useful, I just don't think they need the additional storage also. Keeping the motes simple will prevent people from coming out and spamming a ridiculous amount of miracles from the motes they have stored up. If religious orders speed up mote gain, then every pantheon would have to create a couple of them to keep from lagging behind.

Hard cap should be fine, we are already pretty much limiting ourselves to Tools of Office only.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

I disagree, if only because I enjoy things being specific. You might have to, at one point. It was either you or Marv, I can't remember, that had a complaint about Dryad miracling her races new powers.

Besides, I think this gives us a good base for conflict resolution among mortals.

Fine.

I take into account your displeasure, but feel that it's unwarranted.

This is still far less complex and freer than basically any RPG ever.

It only seem confusing because it's new. Once the rules have been adapted too, they will seem obvious.

Not to mention that these are hardly set-in-stone, and if the beta proves that these are to complicated, they'll be changed.

I can think of two flaws they've already displayed in story:

1. I don't know what you'd call it, naivete or something, but they have a tendency to act like teenage girls.
2. Group think to a startling degree. Collectivist's and all that.

I guess two more could be:

3. Monophobia, that seems to fit their profile.
4. Short, insectoid lifespan. Say, 15 years?

In the first age we had trouble with the rules being too game like, I know because I received complaints for using them that way. Now we are making it even more game like, even though it was only really Dryad and I that used the game rules before. All the suggestions I'm making are so that this can run more like an RP.

I also like specifics.

This gives you a nice framework to hang things on.

If you want to make a new mythos now, you can go- Oh, I need X and Y. Now which abilities to pick.

I think the game-y-ness has become to much of a part of this to really throw it out.

Marv, was the one who complained. Though, due to a single miracle from Deva, ALL of Gilgamesh's races could gain powerssimply by interacting with other races for a period of time. I don't see why he complained about Mina's races and not Gilgamesh's. Probably has to do with me using several Miracles to be specific and Phi using a single Miracle, which was far ... subtler.

Why must you switch over to a gaming attitude just when I'm trying to switch over to an RPing attitude like you originally wanted

Let's examine then.

How strong of fliers are they?

Exoskeleton and Arms aren't to bad.

Silk is.. eh. Depends on how quick.

Poison/Explosive once again, it depends.

Burrowing? Huh.

I complained also, and I'll admit part of my complaining was counter-miracling

I did more than one miracle by the way:
1. Adaption of new traits through heroic actions.
2. Gain Strength through battles.
3. Mimic strength of pantheon
4. Develop traits of other races
5. Resistance to their own elements
6. Spell penetration

Those are all built in to how I had my heroes act, I just was not going to make them important unless I had to provide evidence for why they could stand against your miracle empowered heroes

I've explained this before as well, but the miracle to adapt the traits of other races only applies to the races created by Gilgamesh. It was partially a setup to bring in hybrids later. So my races do not have the ability to copy the traits of your races.

And besides...

This is still less gamey than the last set of rules. It relies far more on rule of thumb and roleplaying. It's just that I've asked for more defined stats for lots of thinks SO that we CAN have this rule of thumb.

Ok, almost forgot. For the question that confused you, I have 5 creatures that are BOTH Mythical Creatures AND Servitors at the same time. How should I stat them out?

Before we go into any more of the rules, I feel that I should say that I'm sorry for butting heads with you so much over the rules. I can be stubborn at times, and I'm trying to push the rules into what I envision working best for the RP. I just want to get things worked out as quickly as possible so that we can start the Second Age.

Also, the idea of having to rework so much of my creations is unappealing. I've been attempting to provide rules that would allow us to not have to change much of the stuff already created in the first age. I'll suck it up if that is what we pick, but I'd like to provide alternatives if possible.

Like I'm not donkey stubborn myself. :P

I'm sort of getting in the swing of the rules, primarily because I want to have to do personal rulings as little as possible.

Yeah well, Marv complained about my Miracles, but not yours as it was.

Even then, 'Mimic strength of pantheon?' That sounds way too powerful just from the current phrasing.

@Zale: After the 400 yrs, will the Miracles that Phi and I did on our races have faded or no. 'Cause would they fit into the new system?
