Well, I'd like to think that it's possible to start over any time we deem necessary.

Whatever problems we started out with here, we shouldn't be rehashing them. We should be finding a way to work past them, if we all think that the forum itself is really what's important here.

Who cares? I certainly don't. An argument that long ago is pointless to remember. I don't hold it against you and you shouldn't hold it against me. As to its cause, it was both our faults so really we're even here.

I've changed the permissions so that an account is no longer required to view the forums.

This is no longer an issue, but no one do that again.

 Not sure at all what I was thinking that day. Likely, I just misunderstood what I was clicking. Like I said though, I corrected the error. All should be well now.

Someone decided to mess with the user permissions, so that you had to have an account just to view the entire forum.

Not simply one to post, but one to actually see anything here at all.

Imagine this, you're browsing the internet, coming onto random super hero sites, and you pull up on that doesn't allow you to view it without an account. do you A. look for another one. or B move along.

now that you have your personal answer, guess how many people may choose the opposite answer.

I noticed because I tried to view the forum when I was logged off, as a result of using a different computer for a bit.

We've also had problems with people being unable to use or access the forum because of this.

Which is why people should know what they're doing before trying to experiment.

And I know personally I would not make an account just to see what was there unless I was very interested.

In honesty, I'd just leave.

 It could have been me, clicking buttons wrongfully.

I don't say it was me, but it could have been. I take half-blame, because I don't remember. Though, I do remember adding a new category of people (Trolls), and keeping them from having permissions. So, that could have been when it started. In that time, I could accidentally have reset things to default, where a profile is required (I doubt it, but it isn't impossible). If it was my fault, then I apologize.

I'm answering questions. No anger or malice here. I think part of the reason you guys think we argue so much is cause you assign exaggerated feeling to simple discussions. Just try to calm down and trust me. I'm not going to get all huffy over this kind of thing.
