Marv, if you're confident I suggest just running it. If it relies on a twist, the less the players know the better. Besides which, the unknown has always been fears greatest ally. Just give us a setting.

 Creepy is just fine. Not all horror is meant to be something that outrightmakes you scream. Some of my worst nightmares were just the creepy ones.

 I think I'll try  to come up with a Slenderman story for this. With its creepy appearance, and myriad of supposed supernatural abilities, it shouldn't be so difficult.

And if nobody's interested in joining in, there's always posting it in Writing Exercises.

To  be honest I've never really feared Slenderman. With all the mainstream attention he gets, he's really become more akin to Wolfman and Frankenstien. More comical than chilling.

 I know, I know, it's pitiful what they've made of him. And to be honest, I don't really fear Slenderman, either. In fact, horror movies and thrillers haven't bothered me for years.

Though, as a faction of exceptionally creative minds, I think we could come up with something good, using entertaining horror elements that we know work well for us.

I think before anybody even decides what part they'll take in the story (if any), though, we should all first talk about things that scare us (in horror movies; this isn't the time to relive traumatic childhoods and whatnot).

Psssh, I'm fine with revealing deep seated fears. It's actually kinda liberating. I'm terrified (sometimes almost to sheer panic) of large sea creatures as well as the waters in which they dwell..

Any form of completely unavoidable death, which is why I"m concerned  by extreme heights, once you fall there's not much you can do other than wait

The insidious work of demons.

Demonic manifestations, supernatural harassment, demonic possession, things that you can sense, but have no hope of explaining.

And I don't so much fear them happening, I don't so much fear demons coming, as I fear them taking over. Getting to some point of mental and spiritual weakness, where resisting and praying against them won't work to fend them off. Where Rou will return with a band of friends in tow, to finish what he started against me years ago.

Understandable. Though, I've never really been one to fear the natural world. It's the abstract, the psychological and the supernatural that I truly fear.
