Re: Generic Fantasy Roleplay Knowledge Thread

Gentleman Vaultboy
My dream lineup has always been:

Saber: Edward "Blackbeard" Teach
Archer: Simo Hayha
Lancer: Don Quixote
Rider: Pecos Bill
Caster: King Solomon
Assassin: The Zodiac Killer
Berserker: H.P.Lovecraft

I've also toyed with Christopher Robin as Caster, but I can't decide what skills he would have.

I'm just going to say this, but why have Lovecraft as Berserker. He's a writer, not a warrior.

Re: Generic Fantasy Roleplay Knowledge Thread

Well, the Berserker class is classified by madness. Lovecraft is less of a get in your face and smash you fighter like Heracles was. What he does when he goes mad is start summoning Things That Man Was Not Meant To Know and warping the general space of the area around him. The more insane with fear he becomes, the more powerful the things summoned and the worse the space is warped.

Basically, a take on the class other than guy who goes crazy and hit's things. More of an environmental hazard, really.

That's probably worse than what Type-Moon originally thought of... or did they choose that for Lovecraft?

Actually, someone on /tg/ came up with that and I fell in love with it.

Well, I could link you to it. I remember it being clean, and /tg/ is a pretty well behaved bored. The first is a planning thread, the second two are quest threads.

Planning:

Quest. They Summon Odysseus as Archer, find a base, and have a throw-down with Assassin.

Re: Generic Fantasy Roleplay Knowledge Thread

To be fair, this is why I was trying to develop Christopher Robin as Caster, just because Solomon is so much more powerful than anyone on that list.

I know it's a Grail War, and everyone's power is supposed to be completely broken but in completely different ways, but Solomon would stomp all over the rest of them.

I think a less deadly (but equally frightening) caster might be Edgar Allan Poe.

Servant abilities are usually a little more than that.

I was thinking of making the 100 Acre Wood a Reality Marble where everything followed the rules of childhood. You know, death isn't a thing, everyone is nice except people you don't like, your dad is the strongest person in the universe.
