That's rather generic.

Beat down can mean any number of things.

Is is a physical power? Energy based one?

Don't see how it can be the Mythpower equivalent of the mentioned powers, the guy doesn't possess the power.Highly unlikely but do any of the involved parties change bodily or mentally? No.
Something to do with luck? Yes.
Something to do with Causality Reversal or Consequence Manipulation? Consequence Manipulation.
Something to do with time? No.
Something to do with emotions/pheromones? No.
Something to do with illusions/altered perceptions/hallucinations? No.
Something to do with fear? No.
Something to do with instincts?
Something to do with hypnosis/mind control/paralysis? No.
Something to do with health/age/pain? No.
