Noble pursuit, for sure.

Thanks, Wulf.  Snorkeling in the Caribbean has been the closest state I've ever been to, as reagards a totally quiet, content mindset.

Something I hope you'll all experience if I win that darn, elusive lottery.

For today's OPM journal entry, I choose Time Transcension to occupy my own consciousness back in 2008, so I can discover the SPL site and be on the ground floor with all you gaming/superpower maestros from the beginning!

Wait a second... that wouldn't cause a time paradox, would it?

Sure it would! Fortunately, I intend to create a power to remedy that in the near future.

Only if Time turns out to be a single line. Personally, I believe that time branches out with each choice, thus traveling back in time places you into a separate timeline based on the changes you make, but also preventing you from easily returning to your original timeline.

Sounds about right. I wouldn't be shocked if time turned out to be a big ball of...wibbly-wobbly...timey-wimey...stuff.

Me, of all people, confused about wibbly-wobbly spacetime shenanigans? Um, no.

Sounded like something from Doctor Who (branching off, so you can't easily return to your original timeline), but then, that may just be my mind playing tricks on me, what with having Doctor Who on the brain...

I meant my reply to your reference to Doctor Who

"That sentence got away from you didn't it?"

That's the next line in the episode "Blink" after The Doctor says Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey stuff.

Oh! You're right! I had forgotten that!

Well, in that case, well played, and yes, it did get away from me...

Still worth a shot, says I.  If Time Transcension mucks up time, then Redo will set it right.

I have simply GOT to start my Doctor Who journey.  Too many refernces I'm missing out on.

Have you seen any of it, since the 2005 series began?

Nope.  Not a single frame.  I've got a good idea on where to start, I just can't find the time.

I recommend starting with the 2005 series (its most recent incarnation). That's what I did.

Though, I know not everybody has money for Netflix (myself included). So, other sites had to be tracked down...

Still, full disclosure, finding the episodes on other sites besides secure ones has made me wish, many a time, for Technopathy.

Yep - the 2005 series is the one I've been coached to start on.  You say it's on Netflix?

I believe so. Can't say, for sure, what with being too broke to afford Netflix, and all...

About single versus multiple timelines.

I compare time with a tape recorder that has an infinite amount of tape.
One tape, one track, one direction, one speed.

If going back in time was possible, then the Tape Of Time would have to rewind.

Which means that all moments after the point of rewind will be overwritten by the new moments.
The lost moments were taped, but yet they aren't after they are overwritten.

Thus reverse time travel destroys the present.
True colours always shine brighter within darkness. ~ WonderDrow ~
